At this point, the d7000 is antiquated old news. But mine is brand new to me, and these are the first pictures taken. These are straight out of the camera, available light at the dining room table, straight automatic, and without reading any of the instruction manual. However, with the help of another Hogger who sent me a book, I might get better.

Very nice! I just got my D7000 as well and I'm having a blast with it.

Cute kid and nice flower.
One thing I'd suggest is to consider the background when shooting. The flower itself is very nice, but even though the background is out of focus it's distracting.

I think you'll continue to be pleased with the performance of the D7000.

Thanks, guys, for the comments. Either I was born for that camera, or it was made specifically with me in mind. If feel like I did when I got my first "F" (camera, not grade) and something inside me woke up and said, "Get out there, you've got stuff to do!"

If that is a photo of your camper it must be difficult to be "in hiding". It is unique.

It's not mine. I saw it in a little town in Nevada called Goldfield. A very strange place that claims to have a haunted hotel. Its almost a ghost town.

Great camera and it will give you great photos if you give it half a chance. Little girl is a cute shot and with a reflector to her left it would have given that extra light on her face but it's cute as it is. Won't trade my D7000 for anything.....
