Well my lovely wife got me a card and a box of my favorite chocolate. Think you did a little better than me this year. Is the Teleconverter an early birthday present? ;) On a serious note, looks like you are putting that 420mm combo to good use- very nice.

You are very kind. Read a lot of reviews and favorable comments about that combination.... Happy to say they were correct.
That Nikon 300 f4 with the TC 14e ll works well on my D7000 and also on my wife's D3100...
... Yes, she got to use the lens 😉

The photo looks excellent, nicely exposed and quite sharp, that combo is obviously working out well for you.
But I should not be surprised, I shoot Canon but use the same rig, the 300 4 with a 1.4 and have been thrilled with the results.
If you get a minute and wish to check out my photo blog you will see what that set up can do. Virtually all pics were taken with the 300 and 1.4
