Want to get close to birds on the water?

This is how I get close-ups of waterfowl and the like. I wear the top to my homemade ghille suit and add dimensional materials and spray paint to the hull of my green kayak. (This picture is a couple years old, and I have eliminated the artificial Christmas limbs, as the plastic needles come off and litter the waterway.) Even if you don't go this far, getting off the shore opens all kinds of new possibilities for bird photographers.

I have seen this photo before. Probably quite effective in the right situation.
I once bought a large Canada Goose decoy, cut out a window in the chest for my Nikonos lens to fit through and was working on coming up with a way to attach it to my head. I came to the realization that the world is full of poachers, and this might not be a good idea, so I scrapped it.
