Beauties like these two structures are fast disappearing. Nice to be able to capture some images while they last.
The last shot is a two hundred year old mill, which is located about 10 miles north of Dayton, just off Rt. 201

Youre so right Phil, the old style barns are disappearing. Keep shooting, and good shots BTW. Whenever i go on a drive, if i see an old barn, i pull off the road to photograph it. I especially like OLD barns with ads painted on the sides. Now, that is really fast disappearing.

Very nice shots, your part of the country is loaded with these old bank barns. I was the State Wildlife Officer assigned to Montgomery County in the 1970s and early eighties and never tired of them.

Nice shots. I'll bet in #3 the time clock was just East of the door.

Thanks Rich, did you know that the late country singer Ferlin Husky used to paint those old mail pouch tobacco barns? That was before he was discovered.

Thanks Radams, your comments are very appreciated. I've lived in the area for 72 years, wonder how many times our paths crossed?

Very Nice! Number 1 looks like an old postcard from the 30's or 40's. Nice effect.

Thanks ramram, the first barn is located about a mile south of St. Rt.36 on Alcony Conover Rd. This is about 10 miles east of Piqua Ohio. The red barn is part of Lost Creek park, about 3-4 miles east of Troy Ohio on Rt 41.

Thanks 33rivers, to tell you the truth, it looked so bad in color I had to do something and Sepia seemed to add to the picture. I was surprised and happy when I finished it.
Glad someone else liked it!

Thanks Old Boots, don't know where the time clock was but 50 yards south of the old mill they just finished building a micro brewery. The building matches the old mill and looks good.

Thanks! I'm hoping for a road trip this summer so I'm collecting photo spots. Problem is, I don't have a travel partner any more, since my wife passed away. Any ladies out there in the same situation?
