Hey qrpnut,I learned a lot of photography from a gentleman, Fred Picker, who ran Zone 6 from Brattleboro. Perhaps you ran into him.
Fred Picker, now there is a name from the past. He made some beautiful view cameras, modified the Pentax spotmeters, had great paper, and some pretty honking large format enlargers.
Long time since I have heard Fred's name. I think Zone VI folded unfortunately. Ah well.
Actually Calumet Photo bought Zone 6. I still have one of those spot meters--many said they were a ripoff but mine worked beautifully in the exposing of my 4x5 B&W negatives. I also have one of the original cameras--yes Zero, those old days are gone.
Greetings, I don't know of Fred Picker but will ask at the Brattleboro camera club meeting tonight.

Picker called his company Zone 6.
Guess I better admit to an aging memory. Picker held workshops in Brattleboro but lived and had an office in Putney, still close enough that he should be remembered.
