Any thoughts on the quality of the program appreciated. I currently use Photoshop Elements, but am leaning toward Apple products. My camera is a Canon 5D Mark 11. I shoot mostly JPEG, occasional RAW.

I have a Mac and use Aperture 3. It's easy to learn and use, nondestructive, and intuitive.

Seconded. Like many Apple products, it's elegant and powerful.

I have a Mac and use Aperture. One suggestion I would make is stop shooting Jpeg and shoot raw. Shooting raw allows much more flexibility in post production.

Seconded! Shoot RAW. Aperture's capabilities are more easily appreciated with RAW input.

Totally agree. Shoot RAW and use Aperture. I very rarely have to make significant changes. Just make sure you calibrate the program with your printer.

Aperture is great for what it does, but it does not work in layers, which in my opinion is where it is at if you do much editing.

Thanks for the info about layers. That might be a deal breaker.
