The 2 Images have been cropped and focus stacked.

Eye of the Rose = 1/20s f4 ISO 100

Hi Steve :) Coming up to spring now as you know, I really like this focus stacking, look out for some of mine when the weather warms up a bit..these are the sort of shots you see blown up and sold in art shops. nice..thanks for posting.. :thumbup:

Thank you for your comments, I owe it all to Nikonian72 for a link he sent me on one of my posts, it was this that first introduced me to focus stacking.

I am pretty clueless about focus stacking but I like the perspective of these and the graceful curves of #2. Not the ordinary flower portrait.

Focus stacking is not that difficult. If you have a tripod then you can do it. I have been using "Zerene" software. It is free for 30 days. By using a large f-stop to blur the background you simply focus on the nearest part of the subject, take the shot and move across the subject until you get to the far end of the subject. you then copy and paste them into Zerene and then stack and align them with Pmax and hey presto you will have "hopefully" a good image. Good luck.
