A First Prime 50mm DX Lens

Yep, kinda makes you wish you could tote around 4- 6 primes everywhere you go and switch them out instantly. Well, maybe in a perfect world... LOL

I always understood that the 18-105 is a very good lens. Seems to me Tom is right. No need except for low light situations.

gee, that's what we did before zooms became affordable.

No kidding - remember my first zoom, man was I thrilled. Of course, some said they were not used by real photographers. So guess I have been an artificial photographer ever since.
