This Cross Orb Weaver survived the Winter on my front porch. Temps in the 20s...

Good question. I'll see if I can find out. This one managed to over-Winter. I was surprised to see it moving around this afternoon.

I love this! I allowed an orb spider who lost her way to live in my kitchen for her lifespan, which was less than a year. When I realized she had died, I cried as if she were my pet. I learned a lot from watching her.

Sarge is a Registered Spider Psychologist. I recommend that you schedule a therapy session with him.

Although sometimes thought of as being an 'anti-spider' type of person, I find them strangely (really) interesting. I just would not want to be personally near one unless carrying a size 10 in each hand.

Sarge's couch-side therapy sessions can be a bit rough on spiders.
