Girl with the pearl earring

We had to recreate a well know picture or painting in our club and as I thought Clare who lives next door had a likeness to the painting Girl With A Pearl Earring I asked her if I could take her photo and this is the result. I drew fine black lines on a layer to create the cracked look of an old painting. Any critique welcome.

I would have taken the shot a bit farther to show some of the torso, but that is up to the "artist". Nice done; she has a resemblance, the whole setup works fine.

Thank you Aldebaran for you comment. I tried to keep it as near to the painting as I could, some pictures show more torso than others so I did what I thought.

Very well done!! I help teach a class at the JVS here, and this was one of my class to do's.:) Very nice work!!! May I show the original so folks know what you have done? You came very close to the original artist!! Nice!!

You did a fantastic job on this!! You picked the righjt model for the right pic,recreated it extremely well,you and the neighbor should be very happy with this!! Did she know of the origional before hand?
