I recently received this news notice from AMD and thought some here on UHH might be interested in a way to reduce the wear and tear of constant reads/saves on your HDDs as well as speed up your photo and video apps by up to 10X. I post the link here for your review and installation. The only caviat to it's implementation is that you will need more than the basic 4 Gig of DDR3 RAM memory in your computer. Newer BIOS machines can see up to 64 Gig or more of RAM, but older machines may only allow up to 8 or 16 or 32 Gig depending on the version of BIOS your computer has. Check the website for your specific computer manufacturer for updates to install newer vesions of BIOS that should be downloadable and installed if your machine has an older BIOS.

Here is a neat way to accellerate your computer using a 4 Gig RAMDISK that is compatible for use on both Intel and AMD CPU machines. It's a software program that uses your spare DDR3 RAM memory for frequently used apps, video gaming, internet browsing, photo and video editting apps that can speed your machine by up to an amazing 10 times your present speed. An added advantage to it's implementation is reduced usage and wear and tear of your SSDs and HDD drives.
There are tutorials to instruct you how to install and optimize the free 4 Gig RADEON RAMDISK program and links to even larger sizes as well as instructions for the setup for specific apps that will gain significant speed through the use of a BASIC 4 Gig RAMDISK
