The Affordable Care Act will increase the budget deficit by $6.2 trillion over the next 75 years, says Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, the ranking Republican on the Senate Budget Committee.
He spoke at a Budget Committee hearing Tuesday, taking his numbers from a new Government Accountability Office (GAO) report to show that Obamacare wont shrink the deficit as its supporters claim.
"The report reveals the dramatic falsehoods that were used to push [the bill] to passage," Sessions said, according to The Hill.
Dick Morris: Protect Against ObamaCare with This Book
"The big tax increases in the bill come nowhere close to covering the bill's spending . . . The big-government crowd in Washington manipulated the numbers to get the financial score they wanted to get their bill passed and to increase their power and influence."
The Obama administration uses estimates from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to argue that Obamacare will indeed cut the deficit. In January 2011, CBO forecast that overturning Obamacare would increase deficit spending by $230 billion.
Meanwhile, Peter Roff, a contributing editor to U.S. News & World Report, writes that the healthcare law isnt working out like it was supposed to.
Costs are projected to go up, the number of people who have already lost their insurance has risen precipitously, and states are already beginning to warn they are facing a shortage of qualified doctors and other medical personnel, and may not be able to keep up with future demand, he writes.

That's not happening, I actually think that there were plans for the American Union but that all fizzled out... Lou Dobbs used to report on this all the time.
My 85 year old mother in law got a $20 raise in her social security.
Her supplemental insurance premium increased $40.
Her perscription co-pay increased $45.
AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE????

And....that's just the tip of the iceberg so to speak. Very sad that the elderly can barely get by as it is and we see the president stating that we must help the lower and middle income....He's so full of crap. If he were honest about that statement he would have cut all the excessive perks that congress has given themselves and put them on the general publics health plan, cut their pay, and put them back in the general medicare plans instead of their "special" pension plan. If the liberals are so hell bent on helping the middle and lower class, maybe they should take the money out of their own pocket instead of making tax payers foot the bills.
