Another nice day after work in Signal Hill, CA...Please comment if you'd like. I feel like I just missed on the jumper, but it was a fun moment for me. Both shots tweaked and cropped a bit, but not a lot....the spider was upside down, so I did rotate him.

I believe that your spider is an immature female Bold Jumper (Phidippus audax), and that you bug is a Multi-Colored Asian Lady beetle (Harmonia axyridis).
The spider is cute ( NOT )
The lady bug is colorful and friendly.

Beautiful. Can I ask what you used for lighting?

Thanks joehel2, I appreciate you checking out these shots....my lighting is a Nikon SB-910 speedlight mounted on my D5100. Just learning to use this flash, next up will be off-camera use and/or a proper ring attachment for macros, what a difference between pop-up and speedlight!

You certainly are getting a good return on your equipment investment.

You might want to stick to your speedlite for macro and just add your own Homemade Diffuser. Here's a link to some of the ones the macro page folks have made. Check near the bottom of the page.
