A quick point, no matter what side of the road you drive on.The centre line of the road is always beside the driver. It is frustrating to see a driver from another part of the world confused, while driving, as to which side of the road the car should be on. Also, NZ and Aus. both park on the side of the road,in the direction you are heading. May seem obvious, but a moments lapse and lives affected. Happy travels.

Illegal in NZ to park facing oncoming traffic, so cars will *always* be parked in the direction they were driving.

Thanks to all for responding. Looks like we will probably be coming to NZ or Australia in 2014. We originally were thinking springtime, but based on responses, it appears fall may provide the best weather. Thanks again for your recommendations.

Seems like this was discussed or covered on the UHH sometime in the past, but I cannot seem to find anything via search. When is the best time of the year for photo ops to travel to New Zealand or to Australia? My interest would be landscape, nature and wildlife photos.

If you are shooting wildlife and landscapes in Australia, early September through early November is the breeding season for birds, mammals, and herps, as well as the inverts. Animals behavior will be its best with courtship displays, etc. It is also the wildflower season in the drier parts.
