One of the girls is a friend and she invited me to take some practice during their match on Sunday. Next time I won't be using a 500mm prime to shoot football/soccer. I will bring a zoom.

Nice on the action and with #2 nice and tight. We're you in the next county taking these- 500mm prime. Actually if you are in the right location(s) and lucky you can try getting some awesome closeups. Maybe try this for only portion of the game.

I had to position myself pretty far away. I will bring a zoom next time. I think my 100-400 will do the job.

nice..the 500 prime usually cant focus under 60-65 feet...a friend has a 100-400...wish i did...i love soccer; and the action is great...always someone with or near the ball...enjoy

My prime will focus as close as 4.5 meters. It's switchable from 4.5M to ~, 10M to ~, and 4.5M to 10M.
