Normally I would agree with this point, except the OP wants to include shooting birds. Her current lens will always leave her disappointed. She really needs an inexpensive zoom the goes to 250 or 300 so she can at least be in the ball park while she learns.

Yes but spending lots of money on a lens that may not meet your needs(since at this time she really doesn't know what she needs) doesn't make sense. Better to spend some time learning before spending it foolishly.

Nancy don't be in too much of a hurry to buy new glass(lens) spend some time learning your camera(a good place is the for dummy books for your camera if you can find one) before making a decision that you may be stuck with for some time. Once you have a better understanding of your camera and photography you will be in a mush better position to make this decision.

Don't get me wrong we donate to the wounded warriors as much as we can and we are forever in debated to those who fought for God and country. We are also members of the VFW. But these men should be taken care of by the government not by charities. A congressman can serve one term and he is set for life. Many who served many years are fighting to make ends meet it's just not fair. Those congressmen who also served in the military deserve what they get.

Does anyone think that after putting their life's on the line for their country that it is outrageous that these veterans need to raise money in this manner in order to make ends meet?

I spent a lot of time looking into solar only to find out that the only one who would make any money off of it was the company selling it. First you are not off the grid because to get off of the grid you have to have battery backup(way too expensive). Then in my case even though I have full sun 95% 0f the time I would only get 20% of my electric from solar and the selling company would get 70% of the saving. Wouldn't be too bad if I purchased the panels outright but I would never recoup my cost(due to my age). Then even with a twenty-five life span I wouldn't recoup my money before they wore out and that doesn't count the rest of the system other than the panels themselves. In my humble opinion it's like leasing a car you never come out on top even though many people think they do. I have a friend who spent upwards of 100k on solar(government subsidies helped pay for a good part of it and he says there's no way it's worth it(his wife is always asking why they don't have power when the grid goes down) he says try explaining that to a woman.

Do you use Lightroom? If so you can do softproofing. I'm sure PS does softproofing as well, but I always do mine in LR. You need to look at softproofing, then get a printer profile, and a paper profile for the type of paper you are working on. Of course if your monitor is not calibrated, none of the above will matter. There will be no telling what you can get if your monitor is not calibrated.

How do I get a printer profile if I can't find one on HP?

I'm using CS6 when I print out photos they have a purple tint to them. My printer is an HP Office jet 8500 premium 910n. I have tried to get printer color profiles for this printer from HP but can't seem to find anything on their web site. Can anyone tell me how to set the color profile on this printer to work with CS 6 so that I can get rid of the purple tint?

Read the constitution and point out to me where it said there is to be separation of church and state it says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances". Three isn't a single word there that says anything about separation of church and state. Even if you want it to. Seems to me that blocking prayer anywhere is prohibiting the free exercise of religion but that's just my opinion. And that goes for any religion weather it be Buddhist, Jews, Taoist, Pagans, Muslims, and any other religious group.

Wow where did I ever try to convert anyone? All I said was you can have your believes and I have mine and stop telling me I can't do this or that. Because I said you won't convince me has nothing to do with me trying to convert you. Now I understand how screwed up the thinking is I clearly said "You can believe whatever you like" and I get accused of trying to take over the world. You can't change stupid. Sorry I tried to be civil but you just can't handle the truth.

Why do atheists who are a very small minority feel that they have to impose their believes on the majority. If payer in school offends you don't take part, if "under God" in the pledge offends don't say it. Because less then 14% of the people feel like you doesn't mean that those of us who do believe have to a bide by your rules.

I have read many books on the origin of man and anyone who can believe that a bunch of cells got together and decided that they wanted to form a human, or a duck, or a pig. And then had the where with all to decide to develop eyes, lungs, hands, something as complex as the brain ECT. has to be very naïve. I just can't believe that some higher intellect didn't have a hand in it. You can believe whatever you like but you will never convince me.

You don't get it. Under a Republican president, there were 60 people killed, 13 Benghazis. Nothing was said.

George Bush and crew could have been tried for war crimes. Nothing was done. Obama chose to take the high road. This is pure and simple a scam to try to tarnish Hillary Clinton. The Repubs are a party at war with themselves. They have no candidates, no ideas. So...they attempt to Benghazi Hillary, the one person they're most afraid of. They'll get their hearings but at what cost for the posturing? They're a stupid party grasping for straws. They don't ask themselves that question while people (Repubs) in government are asking they not pursue this. #Losers

Dljen I don't get it how can you tarnish Hillary if there isn't anything there as all the other investigations have said. If the Republicans can't prove wrong doing they will just look bad unless they say we didn't find anything. Seems to me that the Democrats are afraid of what will be found. Otherwise they wouldn't be stopping the witnesses who were there from testifying. I can't believe that any true American wouldn't want to know what really happened and why we didn't send any help. To say that we couldn't get there in time just doesn't wash to any one with half a brain, how did they know how long the fight would last. Oh I know they had a Crystal Ball!

I find that the articles that are in the mag's are either of no interest to me or they really contain any real solutions. I canceled popular photography and they offered me a one year subscription for 1 dollar, I sent them the dollar and they keep sending the same offer but no mag. Digital editions are a waste in my opinion.

How easily LA Shooter is duped by those who only present that which he is inclined to believe. I believe this is called bigotry when applied to a group.

Even though you can see what the president's getting at in terms of equivalent outrage, he's still way off base here. It is not our job to condemn blasphemy of any kind, period. As individuals we might criticize a few bits here and there, but we mostly ignore the vast ocean of what various people may consider "hateful" or "offensive" speech, and rightly so.

There was much else to criticize in Obama's speech today, most notably a deeply incoherent depiction of America's role in the world. But it's certainly worth noting that a president who thought he was making a profound defense of American freedom of speech has continued his administration's two-week assault on the very notion.

Sarg you need to read the whole article the writer was chastising Obumer not condoning him

That illustrates the point that without the federal government none of us would have ever been able to own any land.

Orange I am confused didn't George Washington, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson and others own land before the federal government existed? Also what does the government owning land have to do with an individual owning land? Oh I guess the Bundy's didn't build their business the government did. I'm no lawyer and I will gladly leave it to lawyer's(the scum of the earth) to determine weather the federal government can own land, but as I see it it looks like they don't have that right except under specific circumstances.

These people have been on this land for around 136 years and now the government is trying to run them off and you don't see anything wrong with that. I certainly hope that the government doesn't come after you because I for one will not come to your aid.
