I use MOO.com mini cards. A individual photo on front with minimal info on the reverse. Unique and almost always received with positive comments.

The final image is the result of what you have photographed and what enhancements, corrections, PP etc. that YOU want to add from the original that you have produced. HDR, is a only a tool to help you when YOU decide to use it. I really cant understand anyones critique beyond - great image, good image or not a impressive image from the viewers standpoint.
My biz card now states "Imagery Artist". My clients vote for what pleases them by purchasing or by positively commenting on my work.
Your photograph is pleasing - who really cares how you did it. Those that are negative have a right to critique your work, same as those who like it - thanks for putting it out there -- tg

Buy a ipad, pay cash, ficticious name, get a new IP, use that for ALL the things you dont want to keep secret. - That might work. There is no such thing as privacy anymore - anybody remember when giving your SS number out for any reason other than SS purposes was not allowed?--tg

I will admit I am amazed at how members are afraid that facebook will take their pictures and use them but don't seem to be concerned about UHH. Members here will even post images using the UHH uploader and click the "save original" box. If you look at the Terms of Use link on this site, it's almost the same as Facebooks (just not as lengthy).

My thoughts exactly! Facebook has been an amazing tool to get in touch with old friends, long distance family members, etc. I joined back in 2007 to view a friend's wedding pictures! Even my 84 year old Father has been on for about 3 years and is having a blast. If you take the time to read instructions, you can custom decide who sees all content. It's not perfect, but a lot of fun. I have also sold houses in my Real Estate Business from leads and referrals from FB. Let's face it, if you use Google in any way shape or form, it knows where you are and your information is stored!

If they own the pic and sell it then I want them to buy it from me before they sell it. I also forgot my facebook password.
I have a order in to buy the stock today - planning to sell it within the month. I dont think it's apple, and I remember Myspace.

I never could understand why anyone (except a newbie) would consider a camera without a viewfinder.Check out the canon G10/G12 and others in their line. They are much smaller than most dslr's, have most controls of a heavy dslr. Some of the mirror dslr 's have electronic viewfinders -tg

Hallo again, Of course ! on some cameras you can set the screen brightness. If so it might be turned down. Just a thought.
The worst feature of still and video cams today is the useless
glass screen in even average outdoor lighting, unless the weather
is dull an accurate composition is a struggle.
I just can't face lugging a BIG, HEAVY SLR around.
Happy shooting.

Key words are "missed shots" - there are times for manual but Auto or AP seems best for me. I use a Pentax dslr which has the anti-shake in the body not the lens so all I worry about for most conditions is faming the image and let the millions of bucks the image scientists spend to help me do the work happen. I do use manual for macro work and sometimes for really low light. PP covers me on shots where nec.
The older I get the happier i am to see the little green "auto" setting. --- the easier the tool, the better the result ---- tg

Depends on how you enjoy your vacation. I like to enjoy BEING there, not constantly seeing the islands through a viewfinder. After a day of using all my gear I ended up with my most comfortable dslr, a 18-200 lens and left rest my gear at the hotel. If I miss a shot I I'll get it next time. Maybe I missed a few on purpose so I would come back - do so every year or so.
Have fun.---tg

The final image is produced when the photographer has finished the last process to create the image he/she wants to record. It need not be real. It can be art, snapshot, or a happy accident. To regularly reproduce the method to duplicate the result often takes time, dedication and intellectual stick-to-it-ness. The concept of "Pure" photography is a oxymoron because it limits creativity.A child can produce drivel or a masterpiece, so can a highly paid professional. There is a one common denominator that weaves it;s way through photography- Producing a image that records a instant which satisfies the wants or needs of the photographer. What fun!! ---- tg

Are the white pixel spots in a photo-image driving you nuts? - often found in sky or in trees, bushes in between darks and lights they are easily removed (retouch in iphoto for example)they require intense scrutiny to find each one before printing, often ending up with a print that must be discarded if a pixel spot is missed.
Is it most likely my camera,(pentax k-x) dirty sensor or some combination or something else. (see pixel spot to the right of bottom neck of middle duck below) - thanks, tg

The white spot that I see to the right of the middle duck's neck (at the level of the white stripe on the middle duck's neck), is not a "dead", "hot" or "stuck" pixel. What this whited out area is, is a reflection of sun light off the water.
I am saying this for two reasons.

1). When I zoom in on the spot, I notice that it would be multipule pixels gone bad.... however this 'area'(spot) has a color 'rim' around it showing that your camera is picking up the diming down edges of sun light on it.

2). When I looked behing the neck of the middle duck, I found a slight glow on the top of a wave that is perfectly aligned with the white spot in front of the middle duck. The reason that the bright glow ends so abruptly in front of the middle duck is due to the shadow built by the duck to the right.

The way that I look for pixel problems in a camera, is to take shots with the lense Cap ON. I use multipule auto & manual settings and then I can view the cameras output on my PC.
