It is interesting that you should make that observation. In talking with one of the reenactors, he told me that many of the fellows travel great distances to attend these events. In any case, we only provided the stage. The actors are the meat on the bones. (So to speak). One of the "British Officers" that I spoke with had a great deal of knowledge of the life, times and history of the period. Apparently, once a person makes a commitment to be a reenactor, he/she also commits to take the time to study in order to be able to better play the part. Thanks for looking.
