How was the cruise ? Any comments as to it; was worthwhile? I've been eyeing a Viking cruise for a while, worried that the commercials on PBS are too good to be true.

I have been on at least 5 Viking cruises and they are terrific and live up to the ads

There is a slider that one can control and decide on the final "look"

Basically for those who really aren't interested in more serious work or who aren't prepared to understand what they want it is a simple solution

For the serious worker this may be to limiting

I have tested it to have an idea of what it will do so I could pass that info along to my students

It is amazing and if one doesn't want to be connected to the computer and the learning curve for more intense work flow it is fine. Basically a simple slider that can be moved to produce the desired effect

Which for a lot of beginners using soft ware is an easy way to do a bit of tweaking to the image
Serious creative folks may find it limiting

Check to see if they have a free trial period and take advantage of that period and test it out

For over 50 years I was a Nikon user. But then a few years ago I was using an entery level Olympus pen as a point and shoot and the size and weight along with the results lead to thinking along the mirrorless route

Ended up eventually selling my d700 and all the lens while they still had value and have been using an OMD-EM 1 and have never looked back

Why not test them using the same subject then view the files side by side on your monitor
Use full focal length with every full stop

If there is no difference sell the one that brings the most dollar. If you can see a difference just keep the one that is giving you the results you like

For years I had a "rider" on my renters then owners policy and it covered damage and replacement issues
Was very inexpensive

It was with liberty mutual. I just had to send them a copy of my sales receipt when adding equipment

If so remember that filters lighten their own color and darken the color opposite on the color wheel

I.e. Red will darken a blue sky
