We love alt process shots and frequently work with wet plate collodion (and the negatives for salt, cyanotypes, carbon, etc..).

Technically can be done in Photoshop, but it's still not the same. There's something about the time the photographer spends with it in the darkroom that gives it more soul!

Good work!

Great shots!

We took one of these rides about 15 years ago out of Vegas. Was relatively cheap back then, around $300 a person, not sure what current prices were. The pilot was a young girl that was in her early 20's if that. She was an amazing pilot. Dropped into the canyon for the champagne brunch, had a few minutes to walk around. Saw a bunch of snakes.

Consider a used 24-70 f/2.8L, I have a Mark I without IS that used to be my nearly-everything lens.

70mm on full frame is a little wide for portraiture, traditionally speaking portraits are best between 85 and 135, but what's a little rule breaking now and then. Look up some comparisons of the same portrait shot at different focal lengths. Look at how different the face looks at say 50mm vs. 200mm. You might or might not like the results. For me, 70mm was about the limit before I started to not like face proportions. YMMV.

John,
Welcome to the Hog. Glad to see we have someone who's not at a loss for words! 😁

Sounds like you have an interesting business. Good luck with it.

When I retired, we were living in Mount Airy and I had been working in Germantown. Then we moved a few miles west!
Cheers, Don

Thanks Don! Can get long winded, but I warn for the wall of text whenever I remember!

Welcome, fellow Marylander. I think you'll like it here.

Thanks Tom! Hope to catch you around town. I didn't see a meetup forum, is there anything like that for Maryland folks on UHH?
