Not sure if the same problem, but a good friend who shoots Fuji had that problem. It was related to compressed vs uncompressed. One worked and the other didn’t. It was documented on the Apple sites for which cameras were supported with or without compressed raw files. Just don’t remember which was and was not supported? It was interesting that he’d have all the blank photos in the Photos app after import - he could then import them into Lightroom mobile on his iPad Pro and they’d show up.
