Open one file and drag the LAYER that you want to "merge" from that onto the other file in the top bar and then when it opens, without releasing the mouse button, drag the cursor into the canvas. You will now have a two-layer file.
Thanks. Now that you spelled it out that actually sounds familiar. Will try later. Appreciate your time to respond
TY. Not home but will try when I return later today. I appreciate the specifics
Thanks. I will try your specifics this afternoon when I return home. Appreciate the advice
[quote=CHG_CANON]You described the process exactly ... Open both images on your PS desktop, then drag one onto the other as a new layer in the target image. Adjust from there.[/quote
Thanks. They are both in the top bar but when I open one then try the other the first one goes back to the top bar. Not home now. Will be in a few hours and I may just call PS They are helpful but they want to do it instead of telling me so it is not helpful in the long run. I’ll try later this afternoon again. Thank you for your reply
Trying to merge 2 photos, one totally on top of the other. Have done it in the past a couple of times but memory fails me and Photoshop has undergone a lot of changes. Looked online but after several different instructions I can not get it. I would like to reduce opacity as well. Can someone help? Thank you in advance
Having never looked at this section of UHH before, I find this of interest. In my opinion there are leading lines in both, but other things to consider…in the first the horizon divides the photo almost in half while the sky offers no additional interest. Also in the first the portions of the bush are a little distracting add I would crop a little off the top and remove the bush. In the second one the rule of thirds adds interest…less sky dividing the image into thirds horizontally, the angle of the pier helps and the bush is in a lower third. Yes my eyes come back to the bush but I think it is an attractive addition. My vote is #2. I am a novice, not by years of having a camera, but by active years using it. I am aware of many rules but don’t usually shoot with them in mind, however when analyzing my photos I often prefer the ones where I “accidentally” followed one or more rules…one day I hope rules will become an automatic part of my framing.
Agree that I probably would not have given this a second look in a gallery. However, regardless of any photographic rules, this is street photography that really does tell a story. The more I look at it the more I like it. A good blend of stopped movement as well as blurred movement.

Company that sells Those manuals?
What is the company that sells the spiral bound manuals? I could definitely use them.
I had the same issue with Adorama and returned the camera. I think I just didn’t have the right person on the phone as I’ve never had an issue with them previously But also never received anything with a part missing previously
In an effort to lighten my load I purchased the Sony RX10IV. Being a Nikon dslr user the Sony presents a learning curve so I purchased a used David Busch book on what I thought was my new camera. Turns out it is on the RX100IV. Does anyone know if there are enough similarities for me to keep it or should I send it back to Amazon and try again I know the RX 100 is a smaller point and shoot. Thanks in advance for any helpful comments
Will be in Chicago for a day or two and wondering what camera stores would be honest places to look for a new or used camera. Thanks in advance
Which bridge camera do you have? I’m considering one for everyday travels as I usually have three dogs with me. Add a DSLR and a lens or two…not great results.
I tried one of these to be with me always as opposed to my heavier Nikons and lens options, saving those for specific trips. I found the quality to be excellent however I was so used to Nikon’s menus that learning Sony’s proved to be a learning curve I was not willing to undertake…..basically wasn’t sure I would live long enough to master it. If you are not a Sony user you might want to rent one first just to try it, but again I was really happy with the picture quality for the size of the camera……then again I don’t have the patience of Job, lol.
