Wow! I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a hummer where the wings weren’t blurred, and in a trumpet flower to boot. Great capture.

Hi Everyone ,
Always enjoy looking at various posts on here.

Can anyone help please on this issue I have .
Using photoshop CS5 .. after i do what I have to do I then
file the image with Save as, then to correct Folder ..

This works fine ..but if I do another directly after and save to same folder then I have
to go through the computer and find the folder and save it ..

Sometimes it automatically open up the previous folder so make it much easier ..
Why does it not do this every time ? Is there a setting I can use to make it happen ?

Im using Windows 7

Thanks

Check your settings in photoshop. There is an option to save to original folder or last folder used, etc.

I know that you don't want to bring a tripod or monopod. Here's something that can help. A rope monopod is very rudimentary but really compact. You tie a piece of rope to a 1/4"-20 eyelet bolt. You thread the bolt into the tripod socket on the bottom of the camera. You step on the end of the rope and pull up a little to put tension in the rope. It actually makes the camera more steady. You can roll it up and put it in your pocket.

I will have to try this.

Can you believe I have still not decided on buying my first good camera! Not because of the camera, I narrowed that down to a Nikon d5600 or a Sony A6000.......I am going back to the eye doctor today, this has now become my hangup.......I can not see far and near clearly at the same time, at all, very bad vision......and yes I could wear my bifocal glasses over my contacts, I just can't seem to get used to doing that with the camera needed right in my face. My optometrist let me try out a pair of contacts with bifocals this past week, but I can not see real close up with them, he said with my eyesight, that it may not be possible, that we would have to keep trying....................I also tried wearing just one contact for the far and leaving one out for the near, but when looking at one or the other, I have to cover one eye each time to focus, not only unprofessional looking, but takes extra time.......PLEASE TELL ME WHAT OTHERS DO THAT TAKE PICS THAT CAN'T SEE FAR AND NEAR AT THE SAME TIME............. In summary, I can't afford to invest a great deal of money into a camera, if I can not see what I am doing. Thanks for your inquiry, haven't forgotten all you fine folks and your wonderful advice, just still trying to figure this out.

Instead of using your hand to cover you eye, just close the one eye. I was born with only being able to use one eye at a time. In order to use my non dominant eye, I just close the other.

External hard drives can be fairly inexpensive on sale. That is what I use for main, backup, and finals. I have 3 separate drives. One has all my original raw and/or jpeg files. One has the exact files plus all PS adjustments I make. This is the one I organize so I can find a pic quickly. The third one has ONLY my final jpeg version on it, also organized by subject matter. Hope this helps you.

I love bright colors, but I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to color in my photography. I love the bright colors in nature.

These are beautiful. 👍🏻

Without the background story my first thought is why a pic of the back of a statue? It’s not obvious he is looking over the Church, the building next to it washes the Church right out of the composition. That being said, I prefer the 2nd photo.

We're going on a month-long drive from Michigan to Dallas (to see son and bluebonnets) to Moab Utah for a week, then back home via Wisconsin. Already have plans through Moab part, but need to kill a week between there and Racine, Wisconsin - daughter graduating from college there. Any suggestions on stops more or less along the way would be appreciated.

Small car, no FWD, no long hikes.

You take 191, main drag in Moab, straight north to Jackson Hole, WY (cute little town) keep heading north to Grand Teton NP (tone to see and photo with no long hikes). North from there is Yellowstone NP, you’ve been so you know the benefits. If you take 90 from north end of Yellowstone Devil’s Tower will be about 45-60 N before you get to South Dakota, Mt Rushmore will be about 60 min south near Rapid City, further east are the Badlands (nice drive thru the park west to east). That should give you plenty of options with lots to see, little walking, and leaving you wishing you had more time.

To me this looks much better. The halo affect in the first final seems to be gone.
