Last evening I looked at a flower planter in my yard and thought what I saw was about 1/2 dozen baby hummingbirds flying around the flowers. Grabbed my camera and looking closer saw they were some kind of moth. Looked it up and sure enough they are a hummingbird moth. I had never seen these before but they sure were pretty.

Excellent photos!!!

It usually is when you don't single out an African American! There is nothing humorous about that.

Went back over for a few minutes this morning to see what I could get in the way of shots. Shot these through the window of my truck. I used it as a blind and the eagles seemed to act more naturally.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

Came across and than delated from my system where the photography had taken from 10 to 20 different photos and made them into a different photo showing a different scene. Each photo looked like a painting. How is this done?

A montage will take a collection of individual photos and combine to make a photo that when zoomed shows the individual photos. You should google montage software.

As a newbie to Photography, is there a good table out there for trainee photographers to get a good understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO under different light conditions :)

I have a free app on my Ipod called "DSLR for Dummies". I does include a good table for different lighting scenarios and different events. I would look at the free ones first before buying one.

I'm gonna be taking some photos for a friend within the next month. I have never taken pix of newborns and was wondering if anyone had any advise for photographing these little peanuts. I am new to photography and have no additional lighting other than natural sunshine, and have a Nikon D3000 with a basic 18 - 55mm lens.

My absolute favorite infant shots are:
1: Dad holding baby with photographer behind them getting baby's head resting on Dad's shoulder.

2: Mom holding sleeping baby

3: Dad holding the newborn where he cups the baby's head in the palm of his hand with the body laying on his forearm. This is one the hospital photographer did.

When my third grandson was born earlier this year, I took lots of different shots with the whole family. There was one shot (done at a photography studio) where all 3 brothers were wearing their "I'm the big brother/I'm the little brother) t-shirts laying down in a head-to-head circle holding hands. The photographer took the shot from above them looking straight down. I thought it was amazing and captured unspoken unity.

Enough about the foods of Chicago, I am tempted to jump in the Corvette and make a road trip.

Dont forget Hackney's for onion loaf!

I know, maybe we are all due for a visit to the windy city!

Most important have a Chicago Hot Dog and a Chicago Pizza.

Not just any hot dog. It must be Vienna Beef and none else. Their sign is on the hundreds of little hot dog stands around the city. Get all the trimmings except maybe the hot peppers. Absolutely, no ketchup. That is a sacrilege in Chicago. On the fries yes, but not on the dog.

When you say Chicago pizza, you are saying stuffed or deep dish, aka, thick crust. Stuffed and thick are different. By far, the best stuffed is Giordano's. Google for locations. The Art of Pizza at 3033 North Ashland is great. You do not Uno's or Duo's or Malnatti's; too crowded and touristy. Historic but not my favorite.

Another Chicago favorite is Italian beef. Scala's is the best but a lot of the hole-in-the-wall places also serve wonderful beef. Go for the juice (gravy) and, if you wish, the sweet or hot peppers.

And then there is gyros. Eat only at a Greek restaurant for this treat.

Plenty of other very good ethnic foods and restaurants around. Enjoy.

A great place for Italian sausages and hot dogs is Vienna's. They also have stands throughout the city. Excellent!!!
