Thank you all for the warm welcome and nice compliments. I very much enjoyed looking at all your photos, they are inspiring. This weekend I'm after hummingbirds again. They have been eluding me so far, but I'm determined.

Hi,
New here, just joined. I have always loved taking pictures and my dream of buying a camera other than a point-and-shoot was finally realised last December. Don't get me wrong, my point-and-shoot was very nice and it took some very good pictures, my iPhone as well, but I wanted more. I'm petite with very small hands so I was concerned about a full frame DSLR. My cousin who is a huge camera buff and great photographer took me shopping (he is also the one who suggested this site) and I settled on the Sony a6000. I've been very happy with that choice. However, once I got the camera I had to actually learn how to use it. I'm still struggling with a lot but I'm learning!!!! :D And for the last 2-3 months took the plunge off automatic and now pretty much only using full manual, Aperature priority, or Shutter priority. A lot of experimentation. I love taking wildlife, landscapes, and nature, and would also enjoy doing some portrait work. I still have a long way to go, but I'm having a blast figuring it out.
Here is some of my favourites so far. They do look different as I upload them, definitely darker and colour is off. Hope they come across better online, but will see.
