Why not become a YouTube e beggar. There are tons of people on there traveling the world and posting videos while crying the blues that they are broke and asking people to send money.

I recently posted a Lowepro backpack camera bag for sale. It is my first time ever selling something online. Long story short I had two potential buyers but postage fees were exceedingly high.

When it came time to figure out postage, I went to UPS, FedEx, and our local post office. They were no handling fees involved. I was only charging as a straight pass-through the postage and would be sending a receipt.

UPS initially quoted a price for $75 for an approximate 2.5 lb package! Then lowered to about $40 if they squished it into a box.

I went to FedEx and it was $35. So I thought for sure the post office would be more economical. Not to be.

Is there another service that I should use that I don't know about? Other than getting the box, there are no incremental charges. The insurance fell within their range at that price point.

I can't imagine what's going to happen when I sell my 5D Mark 4! I was starting off of camera bags to ease my way into this process.

Please advise. Many thanks in advance.

People need to remember that a few years ago when oil prices went nuts all the shippers raised prices they said because of those oil prices. Oil has since dropped like a rock and those same shippers have never dropped their prices.

If you are there on a Wednesday drive down to Annapolis and see the weekly sailboat races. They finish in the harbor. Great shots.

There are only a handful of memory manufacturers. It is unlikely that the Ritz brand is actually manufactured by anybody but one of the legitimate sources and branded with the Ritz name. The challenge is to find who the original manufacturer is and good luck with that one.

Ritz is still in business. A few stores and a online business.

If you wanted to try out a camera why not rent one. What is a retailer supposed to do with your used camera return eat the loss when they sell it?

Just for kicks and giggles I went on to eBay and searched on "used digital cameras" and several MILC'S popped up but, the majority of the "used digital cameras" for sale on eBay ironically are not MILC'S. There's lots of simple point and shoot cameras and higher end bridge cameras and lots of DSLR'S, and like I said a smattering of MILC'S, but by no stretch of anyone's imagination are MILC'S the only used digital cameras for sale on the largest online seller of used merchandise. In fact, I'd venture to speculate that of all the types of used digital cameras for sale on eBay, MILC'S are probably the smallest category.

I was going mainly by Craigslist and forum classifieds. I've seen thousands of Sony 6000, 6300, 7, & 7II for sale. Much fewer DSLRs from Sony, Canon and Nikon. Seems like folks are trying mirrorless and deciding not for me.

I'd buy a DSLR. Don't need a smaller body just to buy bigger lenses. I'm guessing mirrorless can't be the the end all since that's all I see for sale on the used market.

Ebay is for the most part no longer a place where the average hobbyist, collector or small time seller lists items for auction. In almost every category retailers and professionals have taken over and they list items at the same prices you would pay anywhere. Most use the buy it now feature. Quite frankly I don't know how any of them sell anything unless it's a rare item and someone absolutely has to have it.
