During Dec 2021, I made a trip to SC & FL at my own cost and took a number of photos. In April/May 2022, I am planning to make a trip to NM and visit Bisti Badlands, and other nature related places in-and-around ABQ.

When I visited a camera store in NJ, and asked how to get sponsors, they recommended that I post my intention on Internet and keep my fingers crossed.

I am using NIKON D7100 & D800 with Sigma Lens, Benro Mach3 tripod. No idea whom to contact for financial sponsorship.

If anyone of you already have sponsors, please guide me how to proceed, where to look for and any suitable information.

I am aware that by providing this type of information, it may hurt your bottom line, but due to time limitations, I am sure that you had to reject some of those offers as it didn't attract you enough. I am just asking leads for which you rejected or are not interested.

I take trips to photograph and video lots of places at my own expense. I poked the "Watch" button so that I could follow this. That's because I can't imagine someone spending money on another's photography adventure.

Maybe I can get a sponsor to buy a boat for me to shoot the scenic coast from Seattle to Anchorage.

If you are willing to use their equipment, and give full copyrights of the photos that you took using them (only those they liked I think).

This is my "best" educational guess.

Let me get this straight; you are asking folks here at the UHH to send you money so you may go to NM to take photos. Basically asking others to sponsor a vacation trip for someone else. Well heck, I've got better equipment, (D7200, D850, D500, 5D mk IV, 5DSr, 90D, Nikkor, Canon EF L, Sigma and Tamron lenses), and a fairly new AWD SUV that will make it cross country with no problem. I enjoy traveling and photography and I've been doing digital photography since 2000. Anyone who's willing to sponsor me to travel and take photos and videos, let me know, it would be greatly appreciated!

Let’s not be nasty folks. I understand the question. Robert Adams received a couple of Guggenheim fellowships to go on photo journeys. I would guess that the likelihood of receiving any contributions would come from evidence of a pool of work that shows commitment, capability and a vision of potential work to be captured. What is the purpose of the journey? Needs to be more than just funding for a desired photo trip.

I would say that you need to submit your body of work to a travel company, and maybe proceed that way. But I think you are confused as to how hard it is to get your work published today. There are billions of photographers out there, and the digital age has changed everything! Good luck with your endeavor.

I think you would need to create a following of viewers. High views on social media, like instagram or you tube etc (basically they would be paying for advertising & an endorsement of their product or services). Then if they don't contact you, you can try contacting them. I guess you can go to their website & find how to contact them about being sponsored.

You may want to try a organization such as Patreon to see if there is any interest in funding your travels.

Calculate a budget based on your previous trip, then post the ROI (return-on-investment) that you made from sales of the images from your previous trip. You could tempt investors by offering to share the profits you made from previous sales so that they not only were repaid for their sponsorship of your trip, but would make a handsome profit in return for their support of your trip to New Mexico and possible future projects!

Good luck! Perhaps you know a way to make money I didn't. You may be successful in this just because you do it. I guess you had been quite successful in your life.
