Perhaps if you add some enticement to sponsorship you might have some luck. Nascar sponsors have their corporate names plastered all over the cars they sponsor. Maybe you could put large decals of your sponsors on YOUR car. Something like "2 nights at Motel 6 sponsored by Dave." It might work!!

Some younger people start a "Go Fund Me" page on social media. They get alot of funds that way. Maybe you could look into that.

Why not become a YouTube e beggar. There are tons of people on there traveling the world and posting videos while crying the blues that they are broke and asking people to send money.

I can certainly relate to your predicament, wanting someone to fund your trip for photography. As a hunter gatherer type of person I have wanted someone to fund my trips around the world hunting some of the world's most elusive game animals. I have wanted a sponsor to fund my fishing trips to Alaska, South America, New Zealand and other exotic places to catch fish not normally seen by Americans without large sums of money.
I have found the ONLY people who ever sponsored my trips and satisfied my desires of not only the trip itself but all equipment for those trips was my EMPLOYER. Through employment I was able to do SOME of what I wanted, hunt and fish in Alaska, hunt in Zimbabwe and so on. Other than that I have no suggestions for you.

I once sponsored a photographer. He was very well known in Eastern NC, and had previously published several books. He needed some funds to travel for a new book. The deal was that I would receive a signed copy of the book and two mounted prints of my choice from the book. I knew him personally and knew his reputation for doing quality work. Plus, he was working in conjunction with a local non-profit organization. I would think the person wanting a sponsor would need to show previous photographic success, and also promise something of value to the sponsor. Otherwise, money you send is simply a gift to someone you never heard of, does not show photographic accomplishment, and who only has a desire for his entertainment and not for the benefit of any sponsor.

This is one of the strangest requests that I have read on the UHH. I think it is being well covered, though not answered. All I can think to add is. Famous or well know artist photographers get Grants and perhaps Sponsors. Are you an established artist with gallery shows or published portfolios? I'll stop here before I repeat others. Keep Dreaming.
