I would go for the holly trinity of Nikon . 14-24mm , 24-70mm , 70-200mm . They are all great lens . If you buy new you.might go overboard on price a bit over 5k . Buy 2 new and one used . Or buy them all used and save about 1 grand . Of course their are other good options from Tamron and Sigma.but personally I would stick with Nikon .

Both are excellent . Nikon lens hold their price better then Sigmas . Sigma is Sharper but do remember sharpness isn't everything . Contrast , distortion quickness to focus . What are you going to use it for ? If portraits then sharpness holds a back seat to other variables . Bokeh is very important . Bottom line would be to try to rent them then decide on your own taste . Remember that both are great .

It motivated people to buy gray market to save a couple of bucks . A gray market cameras is not suppose to be sold outside it's geografical region it was intended . Canon is more flexible on this matter

It' a good choice . If your budget can handle it go for the new Sigma 18-300mm lens , it's much more sharp with great contrast and will cost just a few dollars more . The 5xxx series cameras from Nikon are great and with more features but the 3400 is a solid choice also .

The Nikon D700 is a full frame camera . It has 12 MP . It is a great camera and takes beautiful images . Hi iso is extremely good
. I see it as a classic and have always lusted for but I don't think my wife would go for the extra expenditure :The Canon 5D markII is also excellent if you don't mind spending for a new lenses

Even though photography in itself is of a very subjective nature the tools used can be evaluated objectively as cameras . Having said that if the Nikon is not the very best of the lot it is surely making a name of itself upon the experts who are reviewing it not only in specs but in actual use and performance . In video it could be argued that it could be better comparing it with the competition but in the art of photography at this present time in technological achievements it is at the very top among it's peers . The best ? I don't know but surely at the very top . Equaled , maybe , surpassed , i doubt it .

Come on guy , obviously flash only works up to a certain distance but as I understand football games at night are played in highly iluminated fields . My grandson , when he has a little league game the field is so well iluminated that a flash is not necessary , not even very high iso . I have a Nikon D7200 and its high iso performance is usable to 3200 iso so I understand that he means very high iso like 6400 onwards .

It's important for you to realize that the difference in noise performance between a D7100 and D500 is just about one stop which in the overall picture is not really all that much . Lens has absolutely nothing to do with noise , If your looking for a mayor advance in noise performance you really should consider going full frame Having said that a good flash good go a long way in mitigating the noise as the extra lighting will bring the iso down with better noise or if shooting steady state objects a longer exposure time will help a lot .

Everything the guys have said here to more or less extent is true . I consider the first thing you should do is figure out if you want to really get into photography or just have a camera for fun and learn a bit . You see mainly the difference in different models of same manufacturer are more advance funtions for the proficient , Case in point , a budget camera shutter speed will go up to 4000 of a second when a more advance one could get to 8000 of a second and so on . More money willget you more advance funtions , not necesarily better picture quality .

That being said if you are more familiar with Canon stay with Canon , especially if you already have Canon lenses and it will be easier to learn as each camera manufacturer as you might suspect has his own menu system and terminology . You already know Canon , stay with Canon . If you have a t3 most of the Canon rebel series cameras you would consider will give you better results as technology has advance alot since the T3 was introduced .

Like I said beforehand if you just want to have fun and learn a bit stick with the rebel series of Canon cameras . If you are looking forward to advance and learn at a higher level you just might want to consider a more advance model like a Canon 80D as youmight find yourself a bit restrained photography wise . Personally I'm a Nikon user but that does not mean it's better then Canon even though Nikons sensor performance seems to be a bit better as tested by independent reviewers but to actually see with your own eyes the differences is a whole different story .You have experience with Canon menu and terminology and have Canon lens ? Stay with Canon and have fun .
