I'm looking for a full frame DSLR for $600 or less. I'm on a strict budget. Obviously I am looking at used. I Currently own a Nikon D3100, D80 and D200. While I would prefer Nikon due to lenses I am open to any brand. 3 of my 4 current lenses are fx sized. As a side note I have found a Canon 5D MK II for $595 bare body battery and charger. It's in good shape but I do not know the shutter count yet. Please offer suggestions on suitable cameras to look for. Thanks in advance
You can't get a refurbished crop sensor D7200 camera for $600. Used, Gray Market, or otherwise? Good luck.
A Canon 5Dmkll is an amazing camera and can be found used for $600. That's amazing for a FF that's as good as the 5ll is!!!

https://www.keh.com/shop/nikon-d700-12-1-megapixel-digital-slr-camera-body-only.htmlThe Nikon D700 is the "prosumer" version of the D3...
IQ is pretty much the same, albeit the build quality are worlds apart...
The good news is if you mate it with the MB-D10 Battery Grip and a D3 battery it will crank out nearly the same frame rate as the new crop body D500 and with far better subject isolation owing to shallow DOF inherent with an FX sensor... Full frame also is wide angle friendly... Something that DX just can't match...
Btw... KEH will allow you to test it out and return it if it's not meeting expectations...
I've scored used kit through KEH and they are the only entity I have faith in for used photo gear...
Hope this helps or is at least food for thought...
I wish you well on your journey...

I understand. I'm looking for a full size sensor not a crop sensor. Thanks
you might find a used sony a-850 around that price.
EOS 5D should be about the cheapest full frame canon (400 euro buy it now) , Kodak DSC Pro 14n (nikon f mount very little iso €210 ) Nikon D3 lowest I found was around $800 canadian (roberts camera). Canon 1 DS €450 the mark II is coming in around €700. D600 around €650 D700 €400
Think that's about it around your budget in ebay.

Another vote for a D700. Without getting into a heated discussion about the merits of a D700 over a 5D Mk II, I'd say you can't really go wrong with either. The Nikon has faster frame rate and possibly better low light/high ISO performance, but it is a 12 mp camera, while the Canon is 21 mp. I think the autofocus on the Nikon is more responsive and accurate, and it shoots 7 fps compared to under 4 fps with the Canon.
Canon beat Nikon into the "entry level" full frame market with the 5D line as far back as 2005. Nikon joined the club with the D700 in 2008. Now in 2017 looking back in time nearly 10-years with a budget, you have to assess the "modern features" you desire along with the 35x24 (ish) full-frame sensor. I don't think you should also include changing brands as adding lenses blows your budget, assuming that's a firm budget.
These two Wiki links give you the full roster of bodies (FX & DX) for the Nikon and Canon lines. Scroll down below the tables on each page to a graphic at the bottom that shows the products laid out by tiers and years. Just looking at the High-End and professional range for Nikon, models to investigate are D3X, D3, D3S and D700.
Nikon DSLR camerasThe Canon models are 1DsIII, 5D, 5DII.
Canon DSLR cameras. Canon also had a line of 1.3 crop sensors, only at the 1D professional level, using only full frame EF lenses. See the discontinued line APS-H and models 1DII, 1DIII, 1DIV.
For a bit more money and a more "modern" body, the D600 where Nikon entered the full-frame market with the budget full-frame. Canon countered with the 6D.

I still have and use the D700.
It's my knock-around body and I'll be using it at a 5k race this weekend.

Of course if you switch brands the cost will rise substantially when you buy new lenses.
I'm not going to look it up for you---you can do that yourself, but a used D600 or D610 can probably be found at a reasonable price.
