Correction: Lens is listed as an 18mm but it is actually a 28mm lens.
Know you've got me wondering! Have to look up that song and listen to it. I love all my Taks, my Yaschica Auto Yashinon and the old Nikkor too. Take care...
Autumn is starting to make it's presence in Ohio. This was taken at the NCR Country Club in Kettering Sunday on my Fuji X-E2 with an adopted lens, an Asahi Super Takumar 18mm F3.5.
Angela, these are gorgeous captures! Love the creamy bokeh, tonal contrast and color rendition and of course the subjects too.
I'm interested in knowing if these are possibly from an older adapted lens or lenses. I use a Fuji X-E2 and have an assortment of older film era lenses that are adapted to the Fuji. Your pictures look like they may be created using older adapted lenses because they render tonality and color in such a unique way. I'm taking tips too and have read about your milkweed bushes and definitely plan on incorporating them into my landscape.
I grew up in MI and remember back in the late 60's one year the Monarchs were so plentiful that they filled the fields with color!
Lol, I can't stop watching his videos! I've learned an awful lot from him.
Cotton q-tips and distilled water. Look up "the angry photographer" on YouTube and search lens cleaning. Guy can be a real tool but he knows lenses.
Thanks for the offer but I think the 23 f2 is the one I actually want instead of the 27.
That's a funny sign! Can I assume that you enjoy cigars too then?
Thanks! Reminds me I need a couple extra batteries.
My XE-2 and company. 3 Asahi SMC Takumars, 1 Asahi Super Takumar, 1 Yashica Auto Yashinon and a Nikon Nikkor AI lens. Using a Fotasy M42-FX adapter for the screwmounts and am waiting for the adapter for my Nikkor to arrive. Now I need to get a couple of modern lenses with auto focus as walk around lenses and for quick captures. Looking at the XF18-55mm F/2.8-4 zoom and the XF27mm F/2 as my next acquistions.
It was a rainy day here near Cincinnati so I settled for a couple of pictures of the cigar I was smoking in my garage.
The adapted lens mounted was the Asahi SMC Takumar 50mm F/1.4
