In Milwaukee there have been several available on Craigs List, purchased from B&H. Only caveat is they are advertised at 4300.00

Awesome pics, we are heading to Yuma for the Hot Air Balloon Race on the 17th and to Utah afterwards.

Exactly, I made my final decision and it includes both cameras. The D500 with the new version of the Nikon 200-500 for by action/birding and the D810 for the rest. I have never indulged myself and this is a passion so what the hell. Thanks for all your responses.

This has all led me back to the importance of glass. So I am going to purchase a D750 and spend the money on new glass. Can't drive a Ferrari if you can't afford new tires.
Thanks All

Yep, just needed confirmation that if you walk down the middle of the road you get squished like a grape.

There is a D810 at a local camera store with grip for 2150.00. The shutter count is about 1440, so with a two year warranty the camera is 2350.00

I have been shooting with a D300's and decided to upgrade. Love the camera but would like better low light focus and pop in the results. Have driven myself nuts reading articles on the D500 and D810. I love shooting wildlife but also enjoy landscape photography, and and shoot street photography. Bottom line I am good at all but master of none, any advice on the D810's overall ability or inability would be appreciated. I could buy a D850 but wonder if a D4s would make the most sense.

Yes a great start. I challenge everyone to get outside their comfort zone, engage the youth. Not sure how my kids see it but I reach out and extend myself to their friends. Everything from hanging shelves to repairing bikes. People will listen if you show them they are important enough to give your time. It allows us to plant a seed without lecturing. If we went into each day with the purpose of doing at least one unacknowledged act of kindness for a stranger. We owe that to the people that have not had the luck of an intact loving family. Wishes and prayers are very important, along with actively being a teacher

The timing of your post is pretty interesting. I am neither a Dem. or Republican because they are playing Dodge Ball, whoever is not hit wins. I have been lecturing my mid 20 kids about getting involved in everything from politics to social issues. Our youth generally isn't as cynical and jaded about how they view the world. The fact that people opinions are posted and followed by incredibly rude comments is very unsettling. Time for everyone to take 10 minutes and reflect on a thought before responding without the crazy vitriol. Freedom of speech is a powerful right that should be conveyed with a little forethought as well as peoples responses. I will go to my death bed believing that 95% of people are good. Twitter, Facebook and Texts yikes how about a good old face to face conversation. Change isn't easy and it starts with simply treating each other with more kindness. Ramblings of a mad man
