Went to the Edgewood College ladies lacrosse game last week.
My first game of that sport and first time shooting it.
It's very fun to watch, and fun to shoot.
Here are a few shots from it, mostly raining and dreary
but allowed for fast enough shutter speeds.
Nikon D500 with the Tamron 150-600 G2 shutter at
1/1600, f8 and auto ISO around 1000. Enjoy!
I have one, just no box. Message me if you are interested.
I was able to make the trip out to WV to see my daughter play at her college.
It's D2 so the action is good. I picked the right games to get out there for,
most notably the most intense home game they have every had.
Her team pulled out the win at 34-32 and the place went nuts.
There are players from Spain, Poland, Brazil, USA - in honor
of one of the players from Hawaii the parent gave out leis to the
players and coaches. I post these more for the reactions and moments than quality, as
I was just in the stands shooting and didn't try to get on the floor
like I can at high schools. I shot these all at 1/1000 f2.8 auto white
balance with my D500 and the Tamron 70-200 f2.8. Lightly processed
through Lightroom - nothing fancy and I know I just missed focus on
some really good ones.

Do you want the lens & grip too? Shoot me a private message
with your number and we can discuss specifics.
Thanks! Brett

Thanks much - Brett
I literally just bough one on ebay as I only got one response on my WTB listing...pretty much the same price too! Good luck with the sale. Someone will snatch it up. Thanks for the info on the teleconverter compatibility.
Looking to buy the Nikon Micro 105mm f.28 vr.
Anyone have one they aren't using any longer?
Thanks, Brett
I will give Group a shot next time. I've tried it in other scenarios but haven't determined
the times when it works to my advantage. The ball went just over her head and
out of reach, she jumped for it but missed. She's just landed in the photo, and hoping
it went over the bar but it didn't.
Shot a late evening soccer game tonight. Much faster this
go around as it was on turf. By the end of the game it was
dark out and only lit by the stadium lights so I switched over
to the 70-200 f2.8 from the 150-600mm. Worked great
even with some higher iso's at the end.
Nikon D500 with Tamron G2's. Auto ISO limited to
6400 max, single point focus continuous. Used the
monopod on the big lens.
Here are a couple more. These are just small jpegs for outputs but
I stored the originals at least.
Although raining and cloudy, I went to my niece's track meet
to shoot some pole vaulting. They toned it down a bit with
the wet equipment, but very fun to shoot. These are such
fun events and with Covid restrictions letting up here
we are really enjoying them.
Shot with the D500 and the Tamron G2 70-200,
auto iso, f4 at 1/1000 shutter speed or so.
Nice work - especially from the stands. Keep it up, more sporting events
are right around the corner.
