I have been a camera enthusiast for many many years, not really knowing a thing about cameras except to use the auto focus. My first camera was a Nikon FE2.....it was always out of focus because I knew nothing about the camera itself and manual shooting. Eventually I took a course in photography and bought a canon and then another Nikon. I now own a Canon 7D , a Panasonic bridge camera Lumix DMz1000, a Nikon D7000 and just bought a Canon sx50 plus a lot of other point and shoot and older Nikons. The Nikons are not as user friendly as a canon but take a sharper picture, the canon is a reliable easy to operate and figure out old workhorse but takes soft pictures. So I'm sort of a camera nut and use them all for different things.

I'm so glad that this thread lives on.... I remember when Sherrie started it. I was so excited to do a photo a day for a year! That was 5 years ago and so many people on this thread shared their lives with each other. We had babies born and members pass away and even get married. We had a group get together too..... I remember Annette and watching Patography's grandkids, and Sher's wonderful photography of her grandbaby little Alivia that we all saw birth pictures of. Gracie Strawn Paine and her grandchildren. Roadrunner and his photos of historical places. So many more..... this one thread had an impact on me I can't even say exactly why. Maybe because through photography I got such an intimate glimpse of everyone's lives. I'm so very glad to see you all and to see that this challenge lives on. CreativSimon, Dane, Nikon can't list all those people who I got to know from this one thread!

I see Rivernan...and Roadrunner....Dane and Jimber....patography must be around here somewhere... maybe Sher? Cricket? .....I have been so busy with my art and my little 9 month old grand daughter. But I think of all of you all the time and wonder how everyone is doing????
