What is shooting in the RAW? Sorry about my ignorance, but that is new to me.

I was lying. I can't tell you how many cameras I have at home. I am trying to see if anyone would like (free) a Nikon 80 film camera with the 2 rolls of film. Plus I have 2 booklets that come with it.

I love Lumix point and shoot. Have 2 of them, looking at a 3rd. I only have 2 hands. LOL
I truly love taking pictures, have been doing it all my life. Tons of scrapbooks, it's way too addictive.

Has any camera manufacturer - point and shoot done anything about looking through the camera lens - full back screen about sheltering it from the sun, so you can see what you are looking at without the glare?

You are so right, it's the photographer that counts as most high end cameras are just fine. Thanks for the insight.

I did see that Fuji was rated tops. Thank you. I will look into that.

I am the "Stargazer Reporter" for an organization I belong to. Simple photos to email to the editor. I love taking close ups of flowers, etc. I snap orbs in the evening. Take photos of events, church activities, all my life I have taken photos. My Halloween tree during a full moon - love sun rises, sun sets. I am not a professional, just love taking photos. Especially now since we are limited for years and years with film cameras only. What a blessing we have now. Take as many as want, delete, delete, delete. Love it. Thanks for asking.

I like the "drank too much Koolaid" - Someone check into the Lumix. I have their point and shoot and love, do want to get into the higher range camera.

My first name is Brenda. I love taking pictures, age 76 I have way too many albums. Pretty much a novice, but I do wish to purchase a new camera, not point and shoot, a DSLR. I really like my point and shoot Lumix. Which would be the better buy at this time as it will be my last one. I actually have a Nikon and Canon. Older of course. I wish to be able to change lenses. Why are folks so much into Nikon/Canon and not so much Lumix? I don't want to make a mistake here.

I have a question - What about the Lumix cameras. I think they are equally as good. Am I wrong?
