I've used Digicam many times with my nikon d3300, never had any issues other than a resource hog, either via wireless or wired connection.

I have tried to find out how to get photos transmitted from my wife’s Android phone into my iPhone?

The only hidden method found is for her to attach photo files to an email to me. That is impractical due to e-mail rules of allowing less that two attached files or the attempt will not be capable to send!?

An suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!! 😁

Larry,

You can login to an apple icloud account on the android phone, this gives you access to the images/files for apple. Basically go to a browser on android and type www.icloud.com. You will be prompted to login with the apple ID the apple account is under. (This of course would only work if the apple device was setup to perform backups to icloud).

One of the key things to remember about RAM, as applications are opened that content or information begins running in memory ( and due to the nature of the beast aka programming there are memory leaks in each program that can continue to run after closing the app). The program remains on the hard drive. The information can be accessed faster from memory. Less memory means more data must be pulled from the hard drive. You always want less activity on the hard drive so it will last longer. That is why more memory in a system helps to run faster.

American Airlines, Jet and Quantas. I think it will depend on the country you are flying to/from as to being on the "list" regarding restrictions

Just a follow up. I just got back from a trip to Cairns and Sydney Australia. I carried all my camera equipment (four cameras, lenses...etc) with me into the plane as carry-on. I went through XNA, LAX and three airports in Australia having my camera bag go through the X-ray scanners. No problems, no issues, no questions asked. I only took around 3600 pictures, along with approx. 600 underwater pics of the Great Barrier Reef. 😏

Kewl great info, if there is more I would like to hear if you have time. The data I pulled for temps ranged over a 5-year period, was thinking the average would be 70-75. Oh well

I have the tamron 70-300 for my Nikon. It has served me well. I've been playing with the macro setting and loving it. The lens was under $150 new

I may not have spent enough time (in this case a couple hours) but I downloaded Capture one and found it clunky/hard to use/hard to find things so finally gave up. In the case of LR (I like to think of myself as a little bit computer savvy since I've worked on them for 20-years) I was able to move around more easily and figure things out.

THANKS! Yeah we start in Cairns and end up in Sydney which is the reason for the trip. My daughter (age 15 now, 16 when we are there) will get to perform in the Opera House with a group. She performed in Carnegie Hall 2-years ago, now in Sydney, she is so excited. We were in Italy on her 13th birthday 3 years ago and it was awesome. Will be our furthest trip yet.

Hey everyone. My family will be traveling to Australia in July, first Cairns then up/over to Sidney. Other than the obvious touristy sites for pictures any recommendations out there from experience? Will be in each local approx. 4-days each (one at the reef, striving to take underwater pics as well. :) )

Thanks

My father in law hired me to digitize his collection of 35mm slides (just over 1500 of them). I have a vivitar projector with an individual top viewing port. I rigged up one of my cameras on a tripod and took a snapshot of each one via that port. Those that needed a little touch up were easy to fix in lightroom. All in all they turned out really good and did not have to spend hundreds of dollars to have someone else scan them. He is retired Air Force.

Hi all. I have a Nikon D3300 and one of my lenses is the Tamron 70-300mm. I love taking wildlife photos. The Tamron works really well but I want to zoom in more. My research bounces around with no clear "try this" lens. What recommendations are here for the "next level" zoom lens that won't break the bank? "PS. One search led me to a $26,000 lens. I don't think so. Thanks in advance. 😊"
