I bought a Canon D70 in Jan 2017. I have been learning only manual mode. I also have bought Vintage cameras and adapters for the lenses. I will shoot with the vintage 35 film cameras at times. What a great learning experience in my senior years.

I would have to agree after finally researching cameras.
I also would never pay retail in prices.
Four more vintage lenses to clean and a nice leather case this morning.

I purchased a Canon EOS D70 excellent camera to start shooting in manual mode.
This company knows how to provide a great product and service.

I returned another brand N registration was bad from day one. I had to call for my code for their video on how to use the camera. Sent me code and had to email me another one.
The unit had no USB or HDMI cable to upload pictures to laptop or to tether.
Tried to buy cables or extra lenses they were out of stock.

Canon all cables provided Software included even to tether. Lenses I buy vintage and adapters. My pictures look great manual focus. I don't bother to alter in post.
I now have 4 of the EOS line for a collection to display. I have a great collection of vintage lenses and cameras. Waiting for more adapters and time to shoot with other lenses.
Trying filters for sunrise and sunsets my cost is very low so far. Shortly off to another flea market Wed morning.
Great to start learning the exposure triangle, rules of thirds, location, and composition.

I also have no smartphone flip only hardly use it. I also would like to know about the EMF adapters. I'm learning my DSLR 2nd week rgh. Flea this morning a container of heavy old lenses and camera items for $15. Last week I had to get my wife to help me carry out the vintage cameras and lenses. I looked through the bags and passed at first. The vendor said do you want it all for $10
I gave him $10. I said it will be fun looking at the junk. He laughed and I'm a happy picker.
Like the old saying is another man's junk is another mans treasure.
Have A Great Day,

I just started shooting with my Canon D70 using manual mode. With the vintage lenses I use the meter on D70 to focus. Turning the aperture I can see the meter move. Two lenses I have tried so far. I just ordered four different adapters for other lenses. I feel best to tether with a tripod. In post software different versions of lenses not shown.
Getting ready to buy more cameras at flea this morning.
Just new senior guy learning to shoot.

Shutter count for my Canon EOS D70. Count shows 1954. When I Tether with Capture One 10 trial version.
You have to shoot one photo then scroll down in camera settings area. To see it function again shut off camera then re shoot it will advance number of shutter count.
My D70 was a display model with all package lens kit and items. Roughly had 6-700 shutter count. Item was clean and mirror. The price I paid I'm safe to flip and not loose $. This is my first camera learning manual only. I have been using Vintage lens with adapters.
Will I buy Capture One not at this time. My photos look better with Canon Digtal photo and I can tether with their included software.
Lightroom looks better then other software and I also can tether. Photoscape fine but no tether I see available.

Note from the Camera Shutter Count site. Your camera doesn't add shutter count information to images.
Oh well I gave it a try. Canon 70 D.

Thanks,
