It's unique in being EXTREMMMMEEEELLLYYY wide. To use effectively, you need to get extremely close to your subject. Or, at least close to a foreground subject within the wider frame. The example images from the ephotozine show some of these ideas. Do you have experience with FF focal lengths in the 15 to 20mm where 14mm is still even wider?

No, I have a 7D but plan get a FF in the future.

I assume the lens was not on manual focus. I live by Roaring Camp in Felton so I’ve got some great pictures I can sell you. JK. Hope you figure it out I know how frustrating that can be.

My daughter uses her iPhone and puts it on messaging and Facebook and also does videos and they are all fine and free because she would have a phone anyway.

I would tell her you are under no obligation to purchase picture but if you do want one there will be a charge. You really don’t need to explain anything to her, period.

Photoshop to make the picture better, most people don't have access to a copy let alone the knowledge. Framing a photo. Just the basic knowledge of a good photo. Basically if you want something done right you go to a professional. Most people hire a landscaper, a plumber, a machanic to do the job right the first time. Even though for basic jobs that were previously mentioned people can do them but don't have the time or even the knowledge so they pay for somebody to do them.
