I would like to sell my Canon EF 70-300 f4-5.6 IS USM. It is in excellent condition and includes a UV filter I've had on it since the day it was purchased. This is a great lens for a crop sensor camera, and will also work on the full size sensor models. I've been using it on my 5D MarkIV, but wanted to move up to the 100-400 LII and need to recover some of the cost. Asking $275. Will ship free inside lower 48 - USA. Paypal please.

I can't help but wonder where it got the toast. Nearest restaurant in the direction it came from is miles away. Could be from a garbage can, but more fun to think it took a shortcut through someone's breakfast nook.

Thanks for all the comments! I usually follow the Hog on my phone and the first shot was much easier to see on the monitor at home.

If a gull is a sky rat, then what is a pigeon?😋

They are certainly fearless.

I couldn't resist.
I caught this guy at Lakeshore Park in St. Cloud Florida at the south end of Lake Tohopekaliga. Learning BIF with my new 5D MarkIV. Using the old 70-300 f4-5.6 IS USM. Got a bad case of GAS for the 100-400 f4-5.6 LII...

Despite the obvious controversy, this is a case of doping. No different from Lance. If all the girls were boosting their testosterone the outcome would be different. This just isn't fair on so many levels...

For those of us who don't have a hatch in our hoods, and who don't want to buy a separate filter for each lens, why not buy one oversized Cpl with a matching screw in hood and a set of step down rings to adapt it to each lens? Would that work?

Lynda.com has excellent courses. You get two weeks for free, and then you can decide if you want to pay $25 for a month of total access. I sign up for a month at a time and watch all I can - lots of different topics presented.

Check your local library website for access to online training. I get Lynda for free with complete exercise files.

I have one and love the way it works. Be sure you take the battery out of the receiver when you put it in your bag. Mine kept burning through batteries and I think it may have been getting turned on by josteling around. Once I started removing the battery I am getting a lot more life out of them.

I've decided that I'm going to make the jump to full frame and it looks like the 5D MK iv is going to be my next purchase. Now I'm using a 70D and a T3I for backup. I was just wondering if there will be a large learning curve or will it be a rather smooth transaction? I'm not having much luck finding any books on the MK iv, I guess it's still too new.

Thanks
Tom

I just moved up to a 5 DIV from a 60D. It's a quantum leap in every way.

The focusing system is definitely the most difficult part to get a handle on, but if you watch enough online videos and just play with it for a while it all starts to make sense.

The best part I've found is that you can assign your back button focus to several different buttons, customize it to each button and then assign those settings to the C1, C2 and C3 modes on the function dial. You can also keep the half push of the shutter button as an active focus method and over ride it with back-button. Just remember, as soon as you let go of that back-button the half pushed shutter takes over again. (I turned if off in mine). I have yet to be able to tell any difference by changing the "AF Cases" found in AF Menu 1. I'm going to continue to play with them and hope to get other's opinions on how effective they are.

I'm amazed at the improved high ISO performance compared to my 60D.

My recommendation is to read the manual as you go through the menus, then hit YouTube and Google, then read that part of the manual again. MOST IMPORTANT - pick the camera up every single day and play with it! Change settings, shoot lots of photos that will never amount to anything and then change settings again. Just handle it and love it and have fun!

You'll love the touch screen!

I tried the Watson brand in my 5DM4. It powered the camera, but I got pop up warnings on the rear screen and no battery level display.
Has anybody tried Wasabi in the 5DM4?

Lynda.com has a great series entitled "Exploring Photography: Exposure and Dynamic Range with Ben Long". He covers ETTR in section 3 with some real world examples of the effect.
If you don't have a subscription to Lynda.com, check your local library website. I'm using mine here in Orlando and the public library gives me access to a premium Lynda membership for simply having a library card. Lynda's selection of photography training videos is amazing.

True, but when the end does get here I have a great camera to document it for the archeologists who discover our bones in a few thousand years!

OK, so now I know. Next time I buy something from Greentoe I'll be sure not to say where it was shipped from.
