The first one I believe is an Anemone, a fall blooming perennial. Last one would be a Toad lily another fall blooming perennial.

I'm for close..It shows more than a water drop on the edge of a leaf. Tells a story, shows where that drop came from. Better composition in my view.

I agree, the second one is a Marigold but the first looks more like a Columbine (Aquilegia).
