bounce anything unusual that you hear or were told to do, if you want, by me: hello12@bellsouth.net as I said, movement disorders and PD are a big part of what I do daily as a neurologist.

Bob, I am a neurologist and I see a large amount of PD patients with the majority continuing to be functional. Here are a few things: have your neurologist start Azilect (rasagiline) which MAY have some positive effects on delaying the progress (may because this was not FDA approved as an indication). Carbidopa/levodpa also known as Sinemet is the standard treatment but this is mainly to help you "move" only if you are very slow to move. I don't like to start it early especially if there is no indication for it. There are several options for tremor but as I am sure you know, the tremor is mostly resting and improves with action. I am sure your neurologist would talk to you about options to help with the tremor if it really causes problems. Most important: exercise like there is no end, have a positive attitude and keep on going. You CAN NOT give up photography, there are many solutions to problems but giving up something you like is not one of them. The exercise is either cardiac or resistance with weights and of course, better yet both. Tai-Chi is wonderful to help with balance.

Actually I am in the same boat as you. I use photography and the related bits , like the techie stuff, etc to relax and forget about my work and other problems . Probably would get the same effect with Yoga or Pilates and it would be cheaper and better for my health but .....................

Except I do pilates too, and guess what.. at least 3-4 times a week. In reality, nothing to me and I am sure most of the folks here, comes close to photography even what you may have thought of as a teen ager during those days.. LoL

Firstly, my question to you is about the upgrade. What is it about the D750 that is holding you back from creating superior images? What images will you be able to make with a D850 or Z7 that you can not make with a D750? If the gear is holding you back, then you upgrade. If the problem is something else, a different body won’t fix it.

That said, the D850 is compatible with about 390 Nikkor F mount lenses. Since it has an in-body focus motor, all AF lenses will work just fine and since it has an aperture feeler, all AI-s manual focus lenses will operate in manual and aperture priority modes. You may not get the best IQ of of the older lenses since they were not designed for the very high resolution of a 46mp sensor. With the FTZ adapter, the Z7 will mount all of the same lenses, but you’ll lose the metering of non-CPU lenses and autofocus capability of non-AFS lenses.
Firstly, my question to you is about the upgrade. ... (show quote)

I fully agree with what you said, hence the fact that this started with "I am thinking..". My photography (as a hobbyist) is good in my eyes and many people like it, probably more than I do! those are my patients or friends etc. Now, why do it? good question, only because I can.. I have no kids and my wife works too so I can, I love photography and the issue of updating (lets not use upgrading) gives me time to get my thoughts away from my dark profession (I am a neurologist) and keep me busy pondering about "happy things" I like.

Thank you guys. This is so helpful in many ways.. I think if I decide to move toward the upgrade, it will be the 850!

Thank you Scott.. that is very helpful. I am not that much into the mirrorless cameras, I am old fashioned I guess.. The problem of course, is the weight of the beast.. It is double that of the D750!

I am "just" thinking about upgrading from D750 to either Z7 or D850 but a little confused about D850's compatibility with the previous Nikon lenses. What they list as "compatible" is not really all of their lenses. Has anyone
gone from D750 to D850 and used their same lenses? I have not settled yet on whether to do the move or not and if I do, which one to go to D850 or Z7. I am sure as the Z series come out in a couple of days, we will hear much more about the camera itself. Have you by any chance tried using Tamaron lenses or third party Fx lenses on the D850? Thank you

I read that and it certainly leaves you wondering.. I think the advantage of being able to make collections and store photos are big. I have used Aurora for four days
so far as part of the trial and will not give up my LR subscription.

Thank you deer2ker, that is nice of you. I have been to nice places and would love to keep shooting and learning..
I understood that Aurora does HDR but I don't agree that we are comparing 2 completely different things and hence my question. The main issue was to ask
the few that have had experience with both, are they really different? I tend to think not but I wanted to make sure I am getting the opinion of the experts
too or those that have done this more than myself. I will look at posting here.

Thanks for answering my question.

Good morning,
I have been using Lightroom to post-edit my photos (all just a hobby). I had a chance to try Aurora for free and like it but I am not sure
they actually offer anything different than LR. If you guys have any experience with Aurora vs. LR (and feel comfortable
publishing it here) help me decide whether it is worth buying it on top of LR. Aurora has no ability to make collections or
store photos, it is a one at a time editing process. They have HR ability.

I am a hobbyist and all the above is just for fun. I am also an intermediate beginner and still learning. If you want to
look at my work (if you have a second) and feel free to critic and help me get better!

Thank you very much.

maybe what she means is what I am trying to say.. it is only a problem when it is a problem for the people in it or supposed to be in it and they complain.

boy, tough topic. I have been asked to delete pictures of shops (without people), people without shops and of course, people with shops. It is a headache.. I am going to New York in 2 weeks and will be taking street photos there. I bet it is probably easier there as people in NY are used to cameras. I had problems in the US and outside the US, even in third world countries. I guess street photography is defined by the people in the photo themselves (and of course, the owners of the shops if you are too close) and not by the photographer. My advice is easier to apologize and delete than to go head to head. A lot of people will not understand.
