It is said, that one of the greatest dangers to society is misinformation. Please check the link below, Charity Navigator, a non profit organization that rates other non profits gave UNICEF a very high grade. Whenever something like this comes across the internet, I always double (or triple) check it because typically it is false.

Great test! Your insets really illustrate how diffraction eats away at the finer details.

That is cool. Only one goose though, not a flock? Or is that the lead bird and the others remain hidden in the blackness?

It very likely was a part of a flock. We have numerous Canada Geese coming and going to the small lakes and ponds in the area (north of N.O. and Lake Pontchartrain).

I did not see the goose until I was processing images. Olympus OM-1 with 100-400 mzuiko lens.

I've been hearing negative things about Temu, a cheap, Chinese shopping service like Wish. Take a look at some of the videos below and form you own opinion. I'm avoiding it.

Morning Jerry.. I am on my third order from Temu (not using the phone app). I ordered a camera super clamp, some knives, and some fasteners. All is well so far and the items are as advertised. Some items were a little slow in delivery but not as slow as Aliexpress. Online communication is good. They issued a $5 credit for one item that did not arrive on the scheduled delivery date and refunded another item that could not be delivered. I say read the fine print, examine the images posted very carefully and give them a shot.

I have a Samsung phone and can do it three ways.

First, I have the Lightroom mobile app on my phone. On my computer I have the Lightroom (cloudy) app and the Lightroom Classic app synced. When I take a picture with my phone, it shows up automagically in my computer.

Second, if you have Windows 11, there is a feature/app called "Phone Link". Once set up, the phone can be operated from my computer. That lets me "drag and drop" from the phones "My Files" app. This works for video clips where the Lightroom method does not.

Third, my newest Samsung does not have a memory card, so a wire between the phone and computer work too.

Phone Link works in Windows 10 as well.

Curse the Internet -- humanity's largest and fastest growing repository of misinformation.

Here's an example of what bokeh is (and is not). Hopefully a couple folks will see this and understand which is good, but at the same time the Internet will misinform 10 times as many and the misunderstanding of what bokeh is will be further reinforced. We're not going to win and that's kind of scary.

I have two lenses of very similar focal length. A 58mm Voigtlander Nokton and a 60mm Rodenstock Rodagon. So I used both to take almost the exact same photo -- camera on a tripod unmoved, subject unmoved and same f/stop (f/4) for each photo.

Both have similar out of focus backgrounds. An out of focus background is not bokeh. I can create an out of focus background which I did in these photos. I did not however create bokeh. Bokeh is the manner in which the specific lens renders the out of focus background. Both of my lenses produce bokeh and the bokeh they produce is different. (I prefer the 58mm Nokton which is smoother). You can easily see the difference in the two photos side by side. The Rodagon's bokeh has more distinct light/dark transitions -- almost false lines created by the lens. Just to the left and behind the white ball is a cylindrical lidded ceramic jar. The bokeh of the Rodagon seems to outline that jar while the bokeh of the Nokton is creamy smooth. Bokeh is how your lens renders the out of focus background. And you can see that for photographers who do a lot of say portrait work and want the background out of focus the bokeh created by different lenses can matter. I'd rather have the bokeh from my 58mm Nokton than the 60mm Rodagon in a portrait.

Many Olympus M43 Pro lenses have a "clutch" mechanism on the lens barrel activated by sliding the focus ring forward and back. It switches between autofocus and manual focus.

Blackrapid sling which comes in both right- and left-handed versions. Allows your shoulder to bear the weight, with the camera hanging upside down at your side. I've used mine with Nikon D500 + 200-500mm lens, and with Canon R5 + 100-500mm lens, with the strap attached to the tripod mount of the lens. With a smaller/lighter lens, attach the strap to the camera.

The C-8 has not had a body change, yet. The changes yearly have been in trim and options. Is Chevrolet posturing for a complete re-design? The European manufacturers have discovered complete lines for vehicles previously limited to one body style. Porsche is the best example of this happening already. They have introduced various versions of the old 911 and now have almost a full line of them. Their trend in automotive manufacturing seems to lie in cramming as many people into a vehicle as possible. 4-door Porsche 911s are quite the rage for people wanting to bus others around. This is typical for European and third world nations that have over-population problems and the need for mass transportation. With the exception of the mess on our eastern seaboard this country has no need for more buses. 2 doored 2-seaters are still quite popular and provide all the boost needed. If Chevrolet sees need to go the bus route they always have the mini-Vette in the Camaro, which is slated for termination in 2024. Chevrolet kept the world guessing about mid-engined Corvettes for 67 years and they see no need to let the cat out of the bag on buses just yet. This media frenzy is going ballistic, the guessing game is getting ridiculous. The "artist's renditions" are getting out of hand and according to the on-line chat rooms there is NO interest in this vehicle among the general public. It is a freak, and America has had its share of them. Anybody remember "New Coke"?
