I have an old fuji X-T10 and have thought of moving up to Full Frame Canon but just happy with the results. The only down side is, it would be nice to have a higher ISO. The X-T10 has a limit of 6400/

I use a mirrorless. I like the advantage of the having the image staying in the viewfinder after the shot. You can see if you like the shot without moving your head to look at the LCD screen. You can turn off this feature too.
You can preview a shot. For example, you can stop down to say f16 and see what the shot will look like before taking the shot.

Since the photos are already taken you may want to try and sharpen them using the "high pass" filter under the "filters" drop down menu if you have photoshop. It works pretty well for me.

I have a Fuji X-T10 and have this exact problem shooting red. I bought the Fuji because the sensor is designed to deliver accurate color. The reds are not matching the actual red color and no amount of white balance adjustment or any other camera adjustment will yield even marginal results. Using Fuji's RAW or .jpg and post processing in Photoshop has not improved the color.
I don't have the answer but I'm in your corner. What camera are you shooing with? You may have posted it, but I didn't see it.

My first digital camera was a Nikon coolpix 950 (think that's the number), mirrorless. Went to a Nikon D5000 and didn't like not being able to see the shot just taken in the viewfinder. Now have Fuji X-T10, which I find awkward to use the controls and cannot get it to shoot a true "red" color, but like the mirrorless viewfinder and small size.

I'm in the Detroit area and have been interested in photography since taking a darkroom class in grade school. Don't enter a lot of photo contests, but have quite a few photos on fireplace mantles of friends and relatives. I give off the beaten path urban tours of Detroit mixed with the history of Detroit and find photo opportunities giving the tours.
Worked in non-contact metrology to measure parts by taking pictures of the part with specialized cameras.
Currently shooting with a Fuji X-T10.
