I agree with what you are saying. The ZF, which I have and use, is amazing and opens up the old dimension of photography. As a side note the correct spelling is Voigtlander.

Wanting to get back to my life time hobby, I have been repeatedly perusing the Nikon USA webpage and the Zf caught my eye. It takes me back to the days of the Nikkormat, the FE, the FM, when cameras were simpler. The Zf seems a little bit more more analog than digital, does anyone out there has any comments or feedback on this camera that wants to share?
Much appreciated.
Claude

I like mine. It is a nice blend of analog and digital. I do not use it as my primary camera but I use it as my “fun” camera. For more “fun” the ZF is paired with a Voigtlander 50mm f/2 manual lens.

Thanks for your comments. Yes indeed, she was moving. That is another one of the challenges which makes these photos difficult.

One of my "hobbies" is to photograph Burlesque performances at The Blackhart of St. Paul, a local bar in St. Paul, Minnesota. The conditions are challenging as the lighting is very uneven with bright white hot spots and various dimly lit spots of different colored spotlights. I shoot with a Nikon Z6ii most of the time but this last session I shot with a Nikon ZF with a Nikon 24-70 S lens set to shutter priority,1/125 sec and various focal lengths. ISO set to 3200. Some processing with On1 Photo Raw 2024. Most of the photos aren't too bad but most are challenging given the lighting. I am attaching just one photo (ISO 3200, 1/125, f4, 70mm) from the latest performance and would appreciate any comments, criticism and advice regarding it. I should mention that these burlesque performances are put on by a group called Nudie Nubies which is an amateur burlesque organization honing the skills of new burlesque performers.
Thanks for any comments.

I’ve used on1 photo raw for many years and it is great! The learning curve is not to bad and is similar to other editing programs. Give the trial version a try and see what you think.

Is that something you'd be interested in?

Thanks for the offer. I am currently working with another person. If that falls through I will in touch.

You are correct. I am looking for the lens. When I posted the inquiry, the subject line truncated the number of spaces giving the impression that I was looking for the manual instead of the “manual lens”. Sorry about that.

Thanks Longshadow. I have been looking around. It appears that most of the lens are the D version whereas I would like to find the legacy or total manual. I was simply asking around for a used one. I’ve seen some “new” ones on ebay but they seem to be from Japan. Anyone think a purchase from Japan via ebay would be safe?

I am looking for this lens to experiment with my Nikon ZF. If anyone has one available, please pm me.
Thanks

The Nikon Z 24-120 S is an exceptional lens! I highly recommend it. I use a Nikon Z 24-70 S for some specific stage performance photography. I bought the 24-120 thinking it would give me a little more range. It did but the f/4 just wasn’t fast enough. I also use a Nikon 28-75 f/2.8 works great. Good luck with your choice but again I recommend the Nikon.

I am selling my Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S lens. I purchased this lens from an authorized Nikon camera store and have used it very sparingly. The lens is in "near mint" condition with no signs of wear etc. I would consider the lens to be in "mint" condition but since I have used it I am calling it "near mint". All features of the lens work perfectly. Some potential buyers may ask why I am selling the lens. Well, I am selling simply because the lens has more functionality than I need and I find the f/4 to be a little limiting for what I need.
Included in the sale is the lens, all the original packaging, both lens caps, lens hood and a 77mm UV (Breakthrough Photography) filter.
I am asking $800 and use PayPal. I will ship it free to conus.
If you need additional information or have questions please feel free to contact me.
Thanks for your consideration.
