Has the drive ID for your external HDD changed for example from D: to E: . I have had strange things happen when that happens after adding something new even a USB Stick and I don't catch it, or the computer decides to reassign drive letters :).

Good shots, having fun is what its all about. I gotta say that I have the D7200 and the Sigma C 150-600. Not a combination for a walk at least in my opinion. Way too heavy. I'm 69 and cant carry that monster around. For walks stick with what you have or maybe a 70-300. The D7200 is about 1.5lbs, the 18-140 around 1.1lb. A 70-300 a little heavier at around 1.6 lbs, but the 600mm comes in at 4.5lbs. Just sayin. Have fun.

We woke this morning to snow on the ground. So instead of a morning walk I shot these through the window. The Red Bellied and the Starling were very happy with the suet cake this morning

I've been watching the eagles across the lake the last few days. They are back to the nest they used last year. Today they came over to our side of the lake for a little breakfast on the ice

Its been a long time since I've taken any photos or posted anything. Its winter and we are under a stay at home order for who knows how long. Luckily we are in the country and not in the big cities where case counts are escalating quickly. A second bonus of country life is occasionally we see things on the lake most people would never get a chance to see. Today the otters were tormenting an eagle on the ice by coming up in front of him or sliding by him staying just out of reach. They kept that up for quite some time. At first I thought they were after some food the eagle may have had but no, I watched him and he had nothing. The otters were just having fun at his expense.

Shot through the living room window at a great distance across the lake in light snow. The quality is therefore not that great so I did not upload any download versions.

Nice shot, love these old places. Years ago I took film shots of some of the old log settler homes that were decaying in the township. I am glad I did as they are all long gone now. Nice to look back on and see the history.
