Was lucky enough to see this over our Photo Optic Site at Andersen Peak near Big Sur back in the mid nineties. Moments later a lady dressed like a hiker carrying a radio with a very directional antenna appeared, she had been tracking the bird for whatever agency that had released it to the wild. This one has the number 71 on its wing. I think I took this picture with a Canon ELF 24mm film camera.

Several years ago I was going through a pretty rough patch fighting cancer, not being able to do a lot I stumbled onto Citizen watches on e-bay. There are hundreds of new and used Citizen watches there. I used take my Seiko into a jeweler to replace its battery from time to time, that’s where I admired the Citizen watches he had on display, they are a bit pricey and there are so many styles to choose from. So thanks to e-bay I now have 15 Citizen eco drives. Three of them are radio controlled and several are chronographs. Every day I have a decision to make, which one to wear today, I like them all equally. Haven't had to mess with batteries at all and one of the watches is 16 yrs old.

Went to work there at Vandenberg AFB in 1966 with FEC/ITT, retired Oct. 2000. Am very familiar with the RV Park, it's close to the Range Control complex where I spent a lot of time. Thanks for the Primm comment.

Looking East toward the Calif.and Nev. border on I-15. The state line is just the other side on the dry lake. A California truck inspection station and agriculture inspection (for autos) is also seen this side of the dry lake. My wife and I go to Vegas frequently, I took these from the turnoff to Nipton, Ca. Just past Mountain Pass on I-15.

Three 450 ft towers each with 53000 computer controlled mirrors around each of them. When it’s not cloudy the tops of these towers glow white hot.

I have a Citizen watch that uses time signals to maintain the correct time. But it won't change for daylight saving time. For this the company emails a video showing which combinations of buttons to push and pull to change the time. It's a 15 minute process.

I have three Citizen ECO watches that are radio controlled, they all reset correctly with the time change. There is a switch in you watch that tells it to look for the bit in the sync code that will set your watch correctly, it must be set to on and left that way unless you move to Ariz where they don't do DST. This is true of all radio controlled time pieces.

My doctor keeps me on a low dose aspirin, one every other day. Last spring I got a new aortic valve and a Watchman device which covers the area in your heart that is known to produce clots. No more blood thinners for me, hurrah! The new valve and the Warcthman device were both inserted thru my groin, no open heart surgery, pretty amazing stuff!

I suggest you google IOS 9.3.5 Mini IPad From what I've read the earl minis cannot be updated past 9.3.5 That kinda sucks but it is probably why you cannot use a Pandora.

Like Mark I have driven my motorcycle thru a red light when the detector couldn't identify that my bike was there. I think the cop that would ticket a person for that is the one lacking common sense. Also like you, Mark, I lived in Alamogordo while working at Holloman AFB so I know what those temps are like. My wife and I also put quite a few miles on our 2014 Honda Accord Touring, love the car. When were you at White Sands? We were in Alamogordo in 65 and 66.

You're very lucky these have run so long. Contrary to popular belief the Citizen ECO Drive does have a "Battery" of a sort and it will eventually need the "Capacitor" replaced. There are about 2 dozen different sizes and you can expect the replacement cost to be around $50. Unfortunately, most jewelers are unable to replace them as they require a quite a bit of finesse and technical proficiency to install. Factory service is usually the best alternative unless there is an experienced watchmaker you can take it to.

Yes I’m very much aware of that and so far no problem. I do have one called a "Minute Repeater" that developed a mechanical, local Citizen dealer sent out for repair. Other than that I have been lucky, I bought all of the watches on EBay, some used some new.

I've seen many of the batteries mentioned here in 99 Cent Store, Dollar Tree and Harbor Freight stores. However I have little need for them as I collect ECO Drive Citizen watches, fifthteen to be exact. Some are over fourteen years old and being solar powered have never needed a battery replacement.

You were lucky. And as far as “sending money overseas”, most of the parts in those Cadillacs are made in Japan, Korea or China.

Obviously he has never had a Cadillac Cimmaron

I bought 2014 Accord Touring (used, 30k miles) a couple of years ago. I also went for the extended warranty mainly because of all the electronics on it, Adaptive Cruise Control, Nav etc. it’s also the only extended warranty I’ve ever bought on anything I’ve owned. I guess it was a matter of weakness on my part but I look at it like my nursery home insurance, I hope to hell I never have to use it but it does give me peace of mind knowing I have it. I hope you enjoy your Accord as much as I do mine.
The mileage I get with a 278hp V6 blows my mind. The mpg shown in the attached photo was taken about 80 miles after a fillup and there was a bit of a tailwind on the interstate, still I can count on the low to mid 30's in normal highway driving.
