Unsure. In PSE I'd just open all the images as individual files on the PS / PSE desktop, then pick 1 that is the start of the merge / composite. Every other image would be cropped to fit into the merged version. Then, I just 'drag' each of those edited images 'onto' the target composite.

You might return to the google results earlier and look at someone else's process. There were 10s / 100s of possible video examples.

I did find a couple of tutorials to help. After several hours I managed to accomplish it!

Thanks for your response.

Alas, no version of Lightroom is a 'composite' tool. Grab a copy of PhotoShopElements from Adobe.com and you'll be in business with 'how to' help from YouTube.

If you're already subscribing to LR+PS, just google:

utube video photoshop composite how to

Following (attempting to) follow a Matt Kloskowski tutorial, but each time I try to load my stack of images, I get this error message. "Documents must be saved before they can be merged". Now what?

Thank you for any help!

So, I got great images of the eclipse yesterday. It was a perfect day here in Arkansas--sunny and high in the 70s! I am a Lightroom Classic user since LR3 with very limited knowledge of Photoshop. Can anyone point me to a very simple, detailed YouTube or other tutorial on making a composite of those images? Thanks in advance.

PS: Possible to do inside Lightroom print module?

Use your R6 shutter speed 60 and a fast lens (f2.8); a 128 GB fast card (1600 -2000) and you'll get 21/2 hrs + recording time. Shoot 4K a 24fps and the edit to fit.. i.e. Facebook 720. YouTube 1000

Your advantage of the R6 over a video camcorder is you can use adjust ISO for the lighting or lack thereof.

Simple and it works.

Recording the video is not a problem. I have the large capacity cards. I just don't have a way to process/edit the videos. Suggestions?

I need to unexpectedly video a speech tomorrow night. I am primarily a still shooter and did not realize that even at the lowest file video settings possible on my camera, my system cannot handle files that large. My system handles large photo files in Lightroom with no issue. Getting a new computer and software isn't an option on this short notice. Am I stuck using a cell phone to record the speech, or is there something I am overlooking that would make it possible to realistically use my camera for this? I appreciate any help.

The processing/editing part is my problem with these huge files. I have large capacity cards--just no way to process or edit. Is there a solution I am overlooking?

I just sent my 22 y/o granddaughter my Canon 7D MK ii and 100-400 is ii lens. She has only used a cell phone for photos before. I sent the camera set up for wildlife photography. I need recommendations for a good source of learning about DSLR camera basics. She is a smart gal (and like most young folks nowadays) has a great background in computer software. Thanks for sharing great resources. I have a Tamron APSC 11-16mm lens I will also send her as she is interested in night photography also.

Your 100-400mm will not be heavy for the R7. It can handle the 800mm and 1,200mm lenses just fine so the 100-400mm MII would be no problem. The R mount also appears to be even more robust than the EF mount if that counts.
Obviously it would not be recommended to swing any large lens around by just holding the camera but if you were to just hold the camera the lens will not bend or break at the mount, it is not advisable though for many reasons.
Speed booster, I do not know.

Thanks!

Has anyone used a Viltrox or Canon speed booster on the Canon R7? I see it mentioned in several YouTube videos.

Also, will my Canon 100-400 Mk II be terribly heavy for my new R7? I have a shipping notification, so my R7 will be here in just a few days.

I have some good EF L glass, so my plan is to use that for awhile. From what I'm seeing, the speed booster can give about a 1.1 vs 1.6 crop factor. I want to use longer lens with just an adapter, but I would like to try using the speed buster with some of my wider lenses. Thoughts?

You have to cross quarter mile bridge with places to rest , after that not untill you get to the plateforms. They have 2 platforms. The closest one to the falls, if theirs a crowd you'll have to wait in line. I took a long lens 150/600 as I wasn't aware of the new platform which is close to the falls. I shoot in manuel with auto WB, I try to keep the SS at 2000. I shot a lot of fast cont trying to catch bears at the falls with fish in mid air. It's a amazing place just have FUN.

Thank you for the info. I can't wait! Fingers crossed for decent weather to fly over.
