I live in Niagara County. My property backs up to the Niagara escarpment. That old, lovely stone fence goes across our back poperty lot. You can also see these magnificent stone fences going up to Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, Canada.

I feel your pain. We had the same problem, but ours was caused by crows. Grubs are caused by Japanese beetles. They are in season the month of July. We sell beetle bags on a stick. It works pretty well. Also if I have just a few I sprinkle SEVEN powder on them. They die immediately. Grubex works well on the Grubs. I live near Niagara Falls. You can buy Grubex and Seven at any US Nursery or Home Depot. We spread it on our lawn early June.

Pat, your blue flower is a lace cap hydrangea. If you feed it Soil Acidifier you can get many different colors. It is a dry product that is sprinkled on the ground before they bloom.
