First pix is plastic case w/ Russian(?) name. I have housing for optics shown w/ 58mm entrance. Have Nikon D3200 w/ kit lenses & macros. What is optimum lens for adapter? Is there an on line proceedure for adjusting mirrors if needed? Thanks for the advice!
The projector is using field sequential RGB colors
A very slow shutter (like the eye)might average them
What is the contact number for this excellent service?
I went through the same history, but
Exacta was the first SLR I saw.
When I finally moved from rangefinder
I chose Canon, loved it for years,
had 4 bodies 10+ lenses.
Then digital sensors happened.
NONE of my Canon lenses would fit a Canon digital body.
I LOST MY LOVE FOR CANON! Have a great Canon museum.
Guess what I'm buying now? it starts with an N!

Welcome to the forum. I know what you about cost. I bought a D810 with 4 lenses last November. Cost me $15000. I had to sell my motorcycle to afford it. I'm very glad I did it.

Thanks for the reply Jack.
Sounds like my estimate of >$10K was not in error.
I'm just about a year in my Nikon fan w/ DLSR.
Entered @ the lowest $$ w/ DX D3200.
It's more capable than I am up to yet,
but that can keep my brain working.
Have the Tokina 100mm for macro: it seems a little heavy.
I have a ring strobe to use for macro, used to do that w/ film.
Also got a Nikon 85mm macro w/ AF-S & VR (to be lazy)
When I become good enough to use what I have,
I may consider stepping up to the D810 & some FX lenses.
What lenses did you get?
Do you have special interests to photograph?
Best wishes,
John
Playing around with photography more than 60 years.
Slow learner, so still no expert.
Used Canon cameras with film for several years.
Lots of lenses to use & love, still have them. And slides.
Then came digital, went through a few disc models.
That era died pretty quick, they're also in my museum.
Heard that today's Nikon cameras would use most old lenses.
Still being angry with Canon for making digital cameras
INCOMPATIBLE with old film lenses, I switched to Nikon.
So, I'm now learning to love Nikon and their wonderful, but
expensive lenses. Is anything cheap these days?
Must confess that I did buy a Canon/Nikon interface for a
7.5mm fisheye. Doesn't work very well though.
Have only two zoom lenses, two macros & a full frame fisheye.
Even though I bought the lowest cost DX, lenses are cheaper.
Now I daydream about a D810 w/ several FX lenses >$5K.
Why not? Can't take it with me!
Hey! Very good wildlife pix.
I'm trying to do as well, but not there yet.
