You can buy a fair sized desk top display for not much money now days. The one I purchased can swivel 90º for your portrait work, and Mac makes it easy to add a display.
Now that I am getting older and having more trouble with my eyes it is not a luxury it a necessity.

Anti-vib. is driving my GAS problem. The suggestion to "not get old" has failed me, so I need help getting sharp images. If not for that issue, one that I see getting worse every year, I would be happy with the equipment I have now.
Back to my original post. If I'm going to spend a bunch of money, I'm going to shop around and see what the other manufacturers have to offer.

Sorry but you need to dig a little deeper. I looked up all my lens and I have only two that would work satisfactory on the adapter. The rest would have short comings like no autofocus. with Nikon you always have to dig a little deeper.

I'm looking at thing a little differently.
I've used Nikon since 1971. I have / had strong brand loyalty primarily because of the backwards compatibility with all my lenses.
Nikon has now set me free to shop other camera brands. It would be a rather large financial jump to go forward with Nikon because it won't be just a camera, but also more lenses plus an adapter.
Maybe its time to take that money and see what I can get with it at Canon or Sony.

I once owned a small business and have nothing but bad feelings towards the credit card companies. The fees I was charged ran from 3.5 % to 7.5% The card companies explanations on the fees were laughable. On some sales the card company made more money than our company did.
Seems like every customer is only interested in a low price which means markups have been cut to nothing.
So the question is, after the store pays for the merchandise then the 4 to 7 % to the card companies how much is left to pay employees, rent, utilities, you get the idea.
Lastly, There is a store I use a lot and I know what his markup is, its piss poor so I always go in with cash.
Go back and apologize to your dog groomer and see if you can work out a cash deal.
